The beginning of my musical journey was an attempt to find direction, even in the process of growing up and to sort emotions. The opportunity to empower oneself, to break free, or to lose oneself is still the aim of my music consumption today. I believe that this is something deeply normal (?) However, my favourite kind of music is embracing, preferably with orchestral elements, which I would describe with a certain grandeur. That means, while listening, the attempt is made to detach oneself from all the adversities and lows of life - to look at oneself and the chaos of life from a distance.

This mix is designed for the quieter, reflective moments in life. I'm fascinated by how music can influence your body and mind. I wanted to create a mix that is grounding and hopeful.

The themes of the mix are loosely tied to childhood and the rising of the sun... new beginnings, I guess. The music unfolds slowly, becoming brighter and brighter until the sun finally begins to fall once again.

Hailing from Berlin, Germany, Rhom Omit has been passionately sharing his love for electronic music since a young age. His early years saw him performing at local clubs and festivals across western Germany.

In 2015, Rhom Omit relocated to Beijing, where he quickly became a recognized name in China's underground electronic music scene. His performances spanned iconic venues such as Zhao Dai, Lantern and TAG. A year later, Rhom Omit founded the BLACKOUT project, a platform for creative exploration across Techno, Minimal, Acid, and Deep House. He curated legendary nights in Beijing, collaborating with international luminaries such as Eduardo De La Calle, Wrong Assessment, Tadeo, Cesare vs. Disorder, Marcus L, Johannes Volk, and Exos.

Rhom Omit’s sound is a distinctive blend of Minimal, Techno, and House, characterized by deep, textured grooves. This signature style has taken him to celebrated venues around the world, including Renate, Golden Gate and Sisyphos in Berlin, 20/44 in Belgrade, Lighthouse in Ho Chi Minh City, and Pulse in Buenos Aires. His adaptability and skill have allowed him to connect with diverse audiences, whether at intimate clubs or large-scale festivals.

Since returning to Europe in 2020, Rhom Omit has continued to evolve as a producer, releasing music on respected labels such as Serialism Records, Analog Solutions and Morsecode Records. In 2023, he joined Serialism Records as an A&R, contributing to the label’s creative direction and supporting its roster of artists. In 2025 he joined Morsecode Records as a resident artist.

From Asia to Europe and South America, Rhom Omit’s journey reflects a dedication to fostering global connections through his music, delivering immersive performances that resonate deeply with listeners worldwide.

After operating for a few years as Tech Support, Ned Dickinson re-emerged as Asa Tate in 2022 and has been making sporadic appearances on compilations and multi-artist EPs ever since. The Brighton-based producer is about to release his first full EP as Asa Tate, the ‘Replica’ EP, with a proper melting pot of different styles, from the late 80s/90s sounds of Weatherall to early progressive house, big basslines and acid.
