No stranger to creating bona fide rave music of a bygone age, DAWL (Darren Woolard) has been a constant figure from early on within the breakbeat and hardcore scene, well on into its recent resurgence in years passed.

Accumulating an impressive discography over his career, DAWL has released material on revered labels such as Klasse Wrecks, Craigie Knowes, Shadow Play, Furthur Electronix, and Art-Aud's Secret Rave Series.

Co-founding Tone Dropout records with Sween - an imprint that pushes "old-school style Techno, Electro, Acid, and breakbeat" - the label sees the pair handpick skilled and driven artists (such as Corporeal Face, Bufo Bufo, and The He-Men to name a few) who specialise in burly, yet anthemic music, all inline with the nostalgia-laden breakbeat & techno aesthetic.

As an events curator, DAWL teams up with Sween and Ears Have Eyes to host parties under the EyesDropout banner, while also having an active hand in the Dream Therapy parties with fellow producer, Alphonse.

With his latest release turning heads and receiving wide acclaim on the respected Glaswegian Imprint Craigie Knowes, DAWL feels future-proofed and steadfast in a sound that has an ever-changing palette.
