The first release from Markham Road comes in the form of a VA spined by frequent collaborators of its sister platform Infame Radio (@infameradio).

The nine tracks vary along a scale of percussive rhythms both relating to established and experimental ideas. As a trial in itself, this project took shape through exponential conversations between all those creatively involved.

"After releasing my album this year, I’ve been exploring experimental sounds using modular and vocals. When Dani approached me to be a part of this release alongside other incredible artists, I was eager to contribute an energetic club track. I’ve had the bassline and vocal idea in my mind for some time now and I set out to bring it to life using my arsenal of grooveboxes, modular synths, analog effects and a mixer. It took me few sessions to fine-tune the balances and dynamics, as I was determined to create a track that could be pitched, allowing people to choose their desired tempo." — Warzou

In a debut EP that transcends genre boundaries, Seta Loto guides us through the soundscapes of 'Earth-Related System’ forthcoming on the Lyon-based label Comic Sans.With a sophisticated fusion of minimal bass, atmospheric and UK-style techno, dub and dancehall, each of the five tracks develops its own ecosystem, distorted by alterations of reality as if on psychedelics.

Pleating (Hemmed Mix) moves It's a Wrap into a darker mood, with subsonic-frequency kick drums and washes of alien sound design building a tense atmosphere. A subdued arpeggio bubbles underneath the surface as the track propels through murky territory.

🌀💦🔄💦With Liquid Transfers, Esgeem pulls you into an enchanted, misty universe, with vibrant ambience and deep-toned rumbles. Delicate, tangible sounds hypnotize and engage the senses. Half synthetic, half organic textures are layered over on familiar rhythmic structures. Deep, pulsating bass flows between the unhurried and persistent beats of the kick drum. Modest breakdowns emphasize the negative space. This deliberate minimalism only adds to the intensity of the tracks and places the feeling at the forefront: otherworldly, exotic, and brimming with energy.

@esgeem - Leipzig-based producer and dj, part of the Breakfest collective. His productions offer a harmonious balance between sonic introspection and uninhibited movement, drawing from halftime, dub and UK bass to form futuristic club music.
