To create a dance-like mood, I use spicatto lines in the solo cellos and a punctuated bass line underneath various legato melodies in Tiantang Zhi Wu (Dancing in the Heavens).

Recently I was diagnosed with two brain tumors.  I will have surgery in the near future.  With surgery I am told I have a 50% chance to lose hearing in my left ear. One tumor is growing in size on the hearing/balance nerve and in the inner auditory canal. This song is part of my new album that I will release before surgery. Proceeds will fund my medical treatment. Available on BandCamp and major platforms.

New piano and orchestra work for #PianoDay2020…Different from my norm, this work is fantastical, whimsical, and uses granular synthesis as well as tuned percussion, harp, and guitar.
