Contineum is the solo project of Matthew Kyriakides also the founder of Mutagen Records. 

His musical journey started when he was 9 with guitar lessons but he soon found electronic music and very quickly moved to the dance music scene. Starting out as a drum n' bass and hip hop DJ and then 7 years ago he discovered his passion for psychedelic trance, motivated by the friendly parties and the cutting edge music being played at them.

The culmination of Matt's experience is his exciting project. This is a fresh sonic outlook on his style, and strongly influenced by the new upsurge of the 'tech' style of psychedelic trance. Mind Sweep brings you deep baselines buried beneath atmospheric and hypnotic soundscapes with a fusion of digital and analogue production techniques, giving his music a powerful lucidity that resonates with hyper-charged dancefloors.

Matt's unrelenting passion and his fearsome energy have found an affinity within this new sound that is at the cutting edge of psychedelic music. This new musical direction opens up the doorway for him to beautifully express the raw energy that is packed into his personality, bringing to life the intense energies that permeate his existence.

Having released on labels such as Magic Phangan, 24/7, Mutagen, Aphid Records, to just a few and worked with such artists as Mechanimal, Endeavour, Intelligence, Aphidmoon, Sinerider and recently remixed Materia and  much more. Now working with such artists as Disorder, Plasmotek, Attik, Shockwave, Rubix Qube and more, as well as some solo material, you can expect to see the new and exciting style Contineum has forged over the last 2 years. I specialize primarily in psytrance, and additionally in breakbeat and tech-house / deep-tech... yet I also drop sets of drum'n'bass, techno, and other forms of house music.

Psytrance is my true love.
However, tech-house is a very close second, which I *sometimes* perform under the ‘Papasan’ alias.

A disc jockey for the past 23 years, I have a wide ranging background... from Bay Area mack rap and G-funk, to progressive and nuskool breakbeat, to techstep, jump-up, and neurofunk styles of drum'n'bass.
My roots are spinning vinyl records of nuskool breaks and drum'n'bass, yet for the past 16 years, I've stayed firmly planted in psychedelic trance music.

I've had the honor of dropping slaps for some of the USA's most renowned psytrance crews, namely Pulsar LA, PsyTribe USA, and Greensector, as well as dropping breakbeat and D&B for various rave crews in Los Angeles, and in addition, ardently pushing psytrance in the Philippines wherever and whenever I can, from MEDUSA (Makati) events, my own OPODISCO parties, Vulan Tribe's outdoor festivals, and arguably the most fun: private in-house (IH) ragers.

Expect to hear a wide range of trance... ranging from higher BPM, heavy, funky twilight blasters, to deep and rolling full-on, to earthy and chunky Japanese mid-groove, to driving, atmospheric prog-psy.
