Blacklite Records is pleased to offer forth Pyrotechnia, a scorching new 3 track EP from Mexican powerhouse Hasmodai. Drawing inspiration from the parallels between music and fireworks, upon the features limitations of both mediums, Hasmodai taps into that ephemeral moment of magic they both capture. Music and fireworks are both capable of creating deep emotional reactions, however short lived they may be. Much like the aerial explosions of color leave an imprint upon the eye, Pyrotechnia seeks to leave a lingering sonic trail within the ear. Each track of the release leaves its own lasting imprint much as its architect wished.

Hasmodai is the psytrance project started by Alfonso Salinas back in 2000. All began out of mere curiosity, since he was just 16 years old at that time and had no idea of music production. In a couple of years Alfonso met some guys of the local psytrance scene and started to collaborate as a DJ in a collective called “Cannabeat”. Then, as the crew dissolved, he was invited to collaborate with Mictlan crew, another collective started by Haffman. Within this period of time, Hasmodai played at some big and small festivals around Mexico. In 2007 he decided to move to Spain in order to improve his production skills and got an Audio Engineering degree at SAE Madrid. During that period of time, he focused in school and learning, putting the Hasmodai project in stand by. In 2011 he came back to Mexico City and, thanks to his superb studio competences, got a major job in SAE Mexico. In parallel, he started producing again, renewing his sound and researching futuristic solutions for the Hasmodai project. He joined the Blacklite family in 2015 and he started soon to release and to get actively involved in the promotion and management of the label. After some tracks included in several Blacklite compilations and Eps, Hasmodai published his first Ep “Limbic Express” in February 2016, followed by a second explosive release in 2017 “Pyrotechnia”.

"Continue" is the psytrance project formed by  Carlos V. created after different psytrance and progressive projects like F-Zero, Datura Inoxia and MindFlex.  Throughout his career he has contributed in several releases working with labels such as Enterrec, Yellow Sunshine Explosion, On Music, Emisor Records, Uxmal Records, Synergetic Records, Planet BEN, AP Records, Raramuri, Iboga Mexico, Solid Recordings, Spintwist, Freakuency Records, INtrance, Womb Records, Goa Crops Records, Geomagnetic, GOA Records, among others. 

Currently he belongs to the roster of two labels: Enterrec (United Kingdom) where most of his tracks are released and also to the roster of Emisor Records (Mexico).

He has also presented his projects in different conuntries of the world such as Mexico, Spain, Germany, France and Switzerland.

This is his most ambitious project, seeking to capture all the ideas and learning acquired after more than 13 years in the Psytrance scene. The main idea is to achieve a combination of old school sounds with the new flows of psytrance, some progressive structures with energetic and complex sounds and atmospheres, always maintaining the solid bases of psytrance.

Because there is always a reward further than a "Game Over".
