Melodies and songs which after being mulled over during the day, come out of my head and heart at night using the delicate thread of a half dreaming state and looped violin, vocals, piano and ambient beats to create a  soundscape which is built layer upon layer before falling away... 
Designed for the festival space, I've been given the opportunity to showcase my original work at many much loved SE Queensland festivals over the years including Modifyre, Earth Frequency, Jungle Love, Yonder, Northey St Solstice Fest and The Woodford Folk festival.

Dear Willow is a Sunshine Coast indie rock project by Em-J Dau, Melinda Huurdeman, Callan Holstein and Jye Pouzet. Since 2012 Em-J has transformed Dear Willow from solo act to full band, melding her signature sound together with punchy guitars and solid groove.  Think smooth riffs, double kicks and singing like a bird….

The band have been likened to a sound reminiscent of Warpaint or Wolf Alice, yet still their own niche. Their chemistry is evident; each member bringing a unique ingredient to build a dynamic, full-bodied sound.
Following a build of solo releases (2015 & 2016 singles, 2018 Debut EP “Hold Yourself Down”), the band now gears up for a winter release to share the next phase of Dear Willow.

Nai Palm is the type of artist that arrives once in a generation. A two-time Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and musician from Australia, she is a composer, instrumentalist, producer, vocalist and poet who approaches all of these self-taught disciplines with an intuitive, infectious grace which sent her on a journey to sculpt songs that have been received and treasured across the world. It is a world she has travelled many times over with her band Hiatus Kaiyote, who along with Nai Palm, have become household names since they first began playing together in Melbourne in 2011. 

After the independent release of their debut album Tawk Tomahawk, word of mouth caught on like wildfire and within months they were championed by a host of R&B and hip hop’s most respected tastemakers and icons (Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, Jazzy Jeff, Erykah Badu, Prince). This eventually led to their signing with Salaam Remi's new imprint Flying Buddha (on Sony Music Masterworks) in 2013, and a Grammy Nomination for Best R&B Performance for their single ‘Nakamarra feat. Q-Tip.’ This Grammy nomination made them the first Australian artist ever to be recognized by the Grammys in an R&B category.
