Ventrelles are a Manchester based quartet headed by Phil Knox, fusing the styles of 80’s guitar groups such as Pale Fountains and Echo and the Bunnymen and sometimes darker tinged edges of The Chameleons and The Jesus and Mary Chain with a punchy delivery, sun-soaked guitars, energetic rhythms, life-affirming vocals and soulful bass lines.

Formed by Rich May in 2012, The King in Mirrors started as a recording project. 
The self titled album was released in May 2012, followed by the Rolling in the Sun ep (2013), Little Voices ep (2014), Talk About Today ep (2016) and most recently, Foolish Things (2017).

Pavey Ark are a cinematic indie folk band from Yorkshire in the UK. Atmospheric vocals, strings and horns glide over finger-picked guitar, melodic bass and complex percussion. The result is a beautiful orchestral-folk sound that evades immediate comparison. Upon further listening, the band’s wide range of influences start to reveal themselves – from the laid back ’60s and ’70s sound of Jackson C. Frank and Love, through to Nick Drake and Radiohead. Known for their sublime live shows, Pavey Ark are showcasing at SXSW 2025 in Texas and played the Glastonbury Acoustic Stage in 2022 – huge achievements for an independent act. Close Your Eyes and Think of Nothing received excellent reviews from UNCUT, Record Collector, Folk Radio and BBC Radio 6 Music airplay. It was chosen by the BBC as one of their picks for National Album Day in 2022. Their second album, More Time, More Speed, is due for release in spring 2025.

Mega Emotion are the robe-wearing cult that build dense layers of sound looping both live and electronic drums against synths and scuzzy guitars. 

They have won Steve Lamacq’s Roundtable on BBC 6 Music, seen their demo material play-listed as a 6 Music Recommends track of the week, and been championed on XFM and by BBC Introducing.

Live, they have played for John Kennedy’s Remedy showcase in London, and supported the likes of Acid Mothers Temple, Shonen Knife, Melt Banana, Thumpers, Lonelady and Yuck.

Their debut single Uncomfortable was released on cassette by Post/Pop Records – who have released cassette tracks by Everything Everything, Pulled Apart By Horses, Ash, Johnny Foreigner and We Are Scientists.

Their split debut vinyl album 'Move Motherf*cker' (with their grunge alter-egos Lady Di) is scheduled to come out this summer.

Adam Leonard has quietly – and noisily – tinkered at the edges of eccentric English folk, electronic music, and garage Artrock with Invaderband, issuing numerous albums, singles and EPs of original music to much critical acclaim via highly regarded boutique labels such as The Great Pop Supplement, Northwestern Recordings, Tectona Grandis, Polytechnic Youth, Castles In Space, Bibliotapes and The Dark Outside on formats including 7” vinyl, 10” vinyl, 12” vinyl, cassette & compact disc.

Despite maintaining a low profile, the debut Invaderband album was shortlisted for the 2017 Northern Ireland Music Prize Album of the Year alongside The Divine Comedy, Hanna Peel etc, and has garnered praise from BBC Radio 6Music’s Steve Lamacq and Gideon Coe with repeat plays on their national radio shows. In 2021 a second Invaderband album ‘Peter Gabriel’ was released and in 2022 Leonard’s electronic side project A Farewell To Hexes released the ‘Rendlesham’ album which was featured on The Quietus.
