Jubilee has been staying up all night since as long as anyone can remember. She grew up in South Florida on the sounds of Miami bass, freestyle and Dirty South rap blasting from local radio stations like Power 96 and 99 Jamz. As a teen, she traveled to raves up and down the coast, absorbing Florida's uniquely regional palette of breaks, electro and drum 'n' bass. By the time she moved to New York City and started frequenting drum 'n' bass parties like Direct Drive and Konkrete Jungle, D&B was already becoming a gateway drug to a love of other UK underground styles such as grime, garage, dubstep and UK funky. 

You can hear the influence of all this music on Jubilee's debut album, 2016's After Hours – soaked in 808s and 909s, fog machines and laser rays, and containing a huge hit in the form of "Wine Up," a bubblin' bashment cut featuring Bronx dancehall sensation HoodCelebrityy. 

This year, she follows it up with her sophomore LP, another collection of late-night anthems and drum machine workouts. The album took three years to put together, as Jubilee burned the midnight oil in the studio in between headlining slots at European festivals, gigs from New Zealand to Brazil to Las Vegas and taking the stage alongside her Mixpak Records family at London's Red Bull Culture Clash and Notting Hill Carnival.

In the last few years, Miami has transformed into a hotbed of raw talent and one of its hallmark players is Sel.6. Jumpstarting her career with the widely revered and self-released Desire series and initiated into Miami’s scene via Space Tapes, the label that launched some of Miami’s most prized and internationally recognized dance music artists; she has woven herself into the fabric of the city’s underground telling the story of her Floridian identity and giving beauty and finesse to the sounds that encompass “Floridacore” in electronic music. Her productions are characterized by signature ethereal open soundscapes, sampling inspired by a deep passion and respect for R&B, combined with crisp and powerful percussions ranging from electro to breaks to hardgroove to jungle making her music a must have for any DJ’s arsenal and have landed her onto labels like Allergy Season and Omnidisc. This energy transcends into the way she plays always creating impactful and heavy dance floor moments and making her a highly valuable commodity to the city’s club culture. Truly a DJ’s DJ, she can take the room through decades and genres keeping the audience moving and engaged which has brought her to festivals and clubs at home as well as nationally from Detroit to NYC to D.C.

Simplicity has been an inevitable presence in the Midwestern house music scene for the last decade and then some. A highly skilled and focused DJ, her solid confident style provides a captivating foundation that's sure to get bodies in motion and keep the room hot.  

Over the years, Simplicity has been spotted on lineups with notable names from a wide array of genres such as Mark Farina, Sydney Blu, Digable Planets, and Gettoblaster.  Since her days of digging through crates of vinyl, she has prided herself a house music aficionado, but the influence of attending and playing shows in Detroit has left her with expanded horizons into techno and beyond.

Simplicity holds a residency at Headcleaner (Columbus), a unique monthly party that showcases a diverse selection of producers and DJs from across the country.  Working with the close-knit crew that throws Headcleaner is yet another influence into her ever-evolving sound.
