27 track mix, all vinyl (except the intro) tribute to The Enticer and Sunjammer who I feel have always been somewhat underappreciated particularly in the scene today. Having looked regularly on here for a number of years, only 1 or 2 tracks have appeared together in the same mix so I thought it would be a good time to do a dedicated set.  I'm obviously excluding The Enticer's own live set at Live Evil vs Prspct a few years back and the older ones (pre 2010) that aren't currently on here plus Sunjammer's amazing live sets at the mighty Species and the OSF in the early 00's.

Tracks feature from across the 4 releases on The Enticer's own (short lived) label Hardcore Crossbreed Records (2001 - 2003), it's more Speedcore orientated sublabel Man@Arms, few from Fracture 4's label Bloodshed Unlimited (incl. one anomally that all trainspotters will notice) with the remaining  tunes made up from the French/Dutch release(s) and a remix from another quality homegrown [UK] label.

For me, their output at the time was totally unique and still stands on it's own today with both artists proving that emotional melancholic melodies (more so Sunjammer in that case, The Enticer provided the evil streak) could coexist with brutal/nasty and often downright dirty Hardcore Techno across a wide range of bpms with many tunes sitting comfortable at the Industrial end of the spectrum. I'm sure there are many who'll agree with the sentiment when I say they are sorely missed in the scene today... maybe someone or something can "entice" a return and we'll see those names on vinyl once again.

32 track all vinyl mix starting off with mostly UK Hardcore Techno records (incl. breakbeats) from the early 00's with a brief excursion into DnB around the mid-point before progressing into more Industrial tones for the second half, alongside a few hits of acid for good measure. No doubt some tunes will be recognizable from sets at North and Species during that period by DJ's such as Traffik/Deathmachine etc. In contrast to that, there's some underrated and definitely underplayed tunes, particularly one EP from Down Under (Bioxeed - The Acid Test EP) released on the Hardline Rekordingz label, a real forgotten gem which is perhaps best described in the words of Mark N. as "Austere Industrial Hardcore and Acidcore."

Mixes are all vinyl only. Setup is a pair of turntables and basic no frills mixer... archaic certainly but I like to keep things simple.

Been into Hardcore Techno/Gabber since '97 after getting a DJ Producer Dreamscape 23 tape and Bass Generator Hardcore Heaven Ravers Choice. Same year found a Thunderdome 1 -5 Megamix CD and discovered the Mokum series which is where my love for harder music began.

A few years later after listening to all the usual suspects found on any Technodrome lineup and events like Deathrow Techno, North etc, I started buying the tunes. Always favoured the acid laced Clarkee sets and Trance infused Dolphin ones but love all of them including "the Mu... the Mu... the Music Maker" for more 'outthere' Industrial/Speedcore stuff. Still have the same passion and level of enjoyment digging for tunes especially unsolved ID's and forgotten/hidden gems.

Subsequent years leaning towards Hard Acid & Acidcore for the more insanity inducing extreme 303's and generally darker atmosphere from the likes of Lasse Steen, Somatic Responses, Zekt, Agro, Drop Bass Network, Direct Drive, Labworks and the swamp-like-grungy acid on Cologne's DJ.Ungle Fever.
A soft spot for Mark EG, M-Zone & Vortex Hard Trance. Also the UK mish-mash Acid Trance/Hard-Nrg/Hard House sound... VCF, Choci's Chewns, Bosca Beats, Public House, Eve/Telica etc, Acid Techno - tend to stick to the 90's stuff I grew up with and Classic Trancecore - so a bit of everything really.

Much greater appreciation now for Techno/Trance & Acid spun by the likes of Aggressor, Warlock, Aztek, Colin Faver, Colin Dale, Mach 1, Trevor Rockcliffe, Daz Saund and Ribbz of course. I enjoy listening to these sets a lot more now that I'm older than I did the first time around and it opens up a whole new world of tunes to hunt down.
