With a Degree in Audio Engineering, and the completion of a Songwriting/production course at Berkley College, Matais also has also had the privilege of working on a long term songwriting and mentorship program with Loren Israel former head of Capitol Records A&R (who developed, Jimmy Eatworld, Neon Trees and Plain White T's)
