In Echoes of Fractured Light, Anechoic explores the fluid interplay between light and shadow. Each track becomes an auditory representation of light as it bends, scatters, and reflects through space and time.

Subtle shifts in illumination are mirrored in the evolving sound design, tones morph and shimmer, rhythms fracture and reassemble, and layers of sound drift in and out of focus like fleeting shadows cast by shifting light.

Every piece captures a moment of change, sound refracting into something new, expanding and contracting like breath across vast sonic landscapes. Natural reverberation plays a key role, much like how light lingers, fades, and reflects in its surroundings, shaping the atmosphere in unseen ways.

Eight years deep into their voyage through the outer margins of sound, Cosmic Wave Records reemerge from the ether with ‘In Echoes Of Fractured Light’, a brooding and luminescent EP from Paris-based sound-sculptor Anechoic...For the premiere, we dive into Marco Shuttle’s reimagining of ‘Offcuts’ - a vertiginous trance-techno elevation that stretches time into liquid. Shuttle peels back the skin of the original and reveals a stroboscopic skeleton: submerged bass pulses, neon-lit pads evaporating into the void and machine rhythms spun tight like quantum clockwork. It’s trance not as genre, but as state. Bells echo in distant gravity wells, flickering like lighthouses of a civilisation long submerged. Somewhere between a lost orbital rave and a ritual in the ruins of deep space, where collective euphoria and solitary drift are two sides of the same cosmic coin.

Enshade is an electronic music artist based in Lyon, specializing in creating immersive soundscapes at the intersection of atmospheric techno and deep music. Active on the scene for several years, he has distinguished himself by his ability to fuse hypnotic rhythms with captivating sound textures, thus creating auditory experiences that are both introspective and danceable. He joined the Lyon-based label CWR in 2024.

Musicienne depuis son plus jeune âge et diplômée du conservatoire, Ælia.b s'est passionnée pour les musiques électroniques il y a plus d'une quinzaine d'années, fascinée par leur histoire ainsi que par leurs sonorités multiples. Après avoir écumé de nombreux dancefloors, elle a cofondé l'association Totem Rituel ainsi que le Sonoka Festival. For the first release of CWR, the Lyon based producer 9beats takes us to a trip to the red planet with a 4-track EP mixing interesting textures and sci-fi pads, at the edge of ambient and techno. The first track, "Reconnaissance Mission", brings you instantly to another dimension and shows up the first feeling when reaching it. The second track, "Unexpected Encounter" traduces the feeling of explorators when they face a living entity out there with this dark and powerful loop sprinkled with alien voices. Then come "Dust Storm" and "Silent Walk", describing the main ambiance of the expedition.
