Eva Be has been a defining presence on Berlin’s music scene over the past 20 years. Being an integral part of the Sonar Kollektiv crew since the early days, her style has spanned multiple genres and moods, ranging from trip hop, dub, experimental electronics through to house and elements of techno. Here, after a couple of outings on Poker Flat Recordings, Eva joins hafendisko with three tracks that perfectly encapsulate her eclectic, funky style. 
This Is Be. E. ratchets up the tempo for a more direct reaction - Eva’s exceptional sound design provides a track full of flavour and nuance - while hitting hard enough to keep any dancefloor on its toes. 
The Way is a rolling dubby house track - the driving groove is coupled with trippy delays and drum fills. 
Elbows also experiments with echoes and space - a minimal groove supplies the basis for dubbed out spoken word vocals before a thick bass line kicks in.

David López and Carlos Cruz have been releasing under the moniker of Lopezhouse since over 10 years, building a not-inconsiderable reputation for quality progressive house and techno. Having turned the heads of Solomun, the Dirtybird crew and the legend John Digweed, they now drop a brandnew collaborative EP with Eleonora (Eleonora Zaripova), on hafendisko. The Berlin based singer and composer originally hails from Russia,, and here co-writes and sings on Nothing Is Real, shared in three versions. 
The original is driven along by a thick, motorik beat and eerie pads, underpinned by a sharp, edgy bassline. Eleonora’s vocals are special - hinting at her love of cold wave and dark pop, her smokey delivery adds extra layers to the track. 

The Unreal Edit is likely to get a lot of love from stations and shows with a more leftfield take on pop music, while the instrumental is perfect for the DJs who need the stripped down version.

"Ahh So So" is a warm and laidback summer tune and was composed during the last time @dave-dk toured Mexico. The artist is known for his very strong activism against animal abuse and consumption and this EP is dedicated to all suffering animals in farms and cages who will only see the daylight on their way to the slaughterhouse.

Two decades. Twenty years. Twenty compilations. Over 400 tracks. Over two days of total playing time and countless coloured dots. If someone would have told us in 1999, when we put together TOTAL 1 that this would turn into one of the longest standing compilation series in techno world we would have laughed out loud. But here we are – in the year 2020 which will probably go down in history as the most difficult period ever for club culture. But we won’t stop doing what we’re doing. Music is our oxygen. We’ll dance together soon again.

The TOTAL series has always been like KOMPAKT’s yearbook and to say it with the late Frank Sinatra: It was a very good year. Our family of artists delivered a strong heterogeneous mix of uplifting sounds, from the lush reveries of ROBAG WRUHME and SOELA to the stark primetime bangers of MARC ROMBOY or ANNA & KITTIN and everything in between. Notable new entries to our crew are the Londoner KIWI with his wonderfully careless “Hello Echo” that picks up the camp disco vibes Justus Köhncke made a staple in our repertoire. Amsterdam’s DAVID DOUGLAS delivers an appetizer for a full course meal. His quirky pop approach sits comfortably between fellow dutchmen WEVAL’s abstract beats and AGENTS OF TIME’s opulent Italo Disco. YOTAM AVNI blends Detroit techno with new age jazz that reminisces the sound of ECM artists like Jan Garbarek or John Surman. The man with the hat, KÖLSCH also picks up jazzier notes in his very own big room style. Youngblood JONATHAN KASPAR appears twice, fortifying his status as one of the hottest beat smiths of our hometown Cologne. TOTAL wouldn’t be TOTAL without our permanent staff present in full force. As per tradition, KOMPAKT’s founding fathers, VOIGT & VOIGT, JÜRGEN PAAPE, JÖRG BURGER, MICHAEL MAYER as well as our Berlin outpost SASCHA FUNKE all deliver exclusive gems that also feature on Total 20’s double vinyl edition.

"Gryllidae" by Berlin-based talent Blindsmyth, which we released in this years’s May, is one of those tracks, whose distinctiveness touched us immediately. A genuine summer track, unfolding pictures of people dancing barefoot on soft grass at picturesque open-airs before our inner eyes when we signed it in late 2019. But then, as we all know, things came differently, with no open-airs, no festivals and no parties where this track could have been played. It’s magic however, is still present, with good streaming numbers proving that this track is something special indeed and worthy of further attention. 

For this reason we would like to give it another push with two interpretations, one by Pampa Records regular Dave DK and one by Connaisseur’s Offenbach boy band Shayde. 

Dave’s remix concentrates the storytelling original into a more toolish approach with a shuffle groove, while Shayde redresses it into deep and touching early-morning epicness, full of unexpected twists and turns.

After the three highly acclaimed albums “Oracle” (2017), “Dance Of The Demons” (2018) and “Worshippers” (2020), it’s about time to present a collection of remixes of Web Web’s musical output. For this 12” we could allure some top notch producers. Like Web Web’s œvre itself, the variety of remixes on this 12” as well is stunningly diversified.
We’ve got an uplifting disco house groover by living legend Mousse T., which already got massive support by Louie Vega on his Worldwide radio show. A tribal afro house re-work by NY residents Hector Romero & Ayala; some avant-garde broken beats plus a mellow slow motion version of “Land Of The Arum Flowers” by Italian freestyle, trap, jazzy beats rising star Khalab; an epic downbeat monster by Vienna beat smith URBS, and last but not least a smooth dubby remix by Munich’s beat wunderkind L One. A secret weapon 12” representing a beautiful wide musical spectrum. Web Web are Roberto Di Gioia (piano, synth, percussion), Tony Lakatos (tenor and soprano saxophones, flute), Christian von Kaphengst (upright bass) and Peter Gall (drums).

Agoria's classic ‘For One Hour’ is back for a re-release with new remixes in 2020 ! 
Sébastien Devaud started producing in 1999 and first gained international recognition with a series of 12´s on Pias recordings in 2002, which were followed by the acclaimed album ‘Blossom’ a year later.  One of the pioneers who invented techno in France, Agoria has produced other four long-players, released on some of the most celebrated techno labels like Innervisions, Kompakt and Hotflush and remixed artists such as Moby, New Order & Metronomy. His production techniques have collided with an army of notorious artists including Tricky, Neneh Cherry and Peter Murphy (leader of the legendary Bauhaus).
His desire "to constantly try new adventures", lead him to help to establish the Nuits Sonores festival in Lyon, and to create two of the most avant-garde labels of the French electronic scene: Inﬁné in 2006, a platform for new music that always challenges and excites, then his own label Sapiens in 2016.
The last album ‘Drift’ (2019), in collaboration with Mercury / Universal, conﬁrmed his talent for the sensuality of acoustic melodies and the reﬁnement of modernist productions, without ever completely denying his electronic roots. 

Originally released in 2013 ‘For One Hour’ features the amazing vocals from Scalde, complemented by a soaring violin, dessicated horns and Agoria's typically rhythm pattern. Epic and elegant. The package includes new remixes by Laolu and Fort Romeau.
Geneva based Laolu drops his best remix since his reinterpretation of ‘Too Much Information’, a perfect amalgamation of modern house vibes, deep basslines and elegant synth textures with the intense vocals of Scalde. Classic ! Michael Greene aka Fort Romeau has made a name in the last years with his releases on labels like Running Back, Correspondant, Permanent Vacation. His rework is built on a 707 beat,  lush bass and warm keys, and the strings take on a Balearic softness.  
Atmospheric and emotional , timeless and melancholic !
