Ozan Karatasli discovered his affinity for music at a young age. By the time he was 14, he was already well versed with a variety of music genres and his library was ever growing. In 2006 he started his career by DJing at many different clubs. Wanting to elevate his DJing performance, he attended and completed his training at Pioneer Pro DJ Academy in 2009. He has been DJing professionally ever since, currently residing and working in Cesme/izmir.

About this edit :

The song “African woman” from the album “Firin ́in Fouta” (1994) by artist Baaba Maal, inspired us to make a remix by essence of African salsa mixed and perennial in time. A jewel rescued to be returned to the ears of listeners with taste of the best World Music.

Resistencia Amazonica was born at the end of 2017 with the need to visualize not only the musician, dj, producer and other musical artists who move in minority areas and who resist record industries and mass successes by making an artisanal product designed to survive in time and before the concealment of fast consumer music products. This project is headed by two music lovers and activists: @bobmarius (Dj, producer and Selector) and Enzo Tibi (Sound Engineer and producer) and nurtured by musicians and graphic artists. The song was originally recorded in a spur-of-the-moment demo session in 1988. Israel called the recording studio at 3 am, and was given a 15-minute deadline to arrive by recording engineer Milan Bertosa. Bertosa recalled, “Israel was probably like 500 pounds. And the first thing at hand is to find something for him to sit on." The building security found Israel a large steel chair. "Then I put up some microphones, do a quick sound check, roll tape, and the first thing he does is 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow.' He played and sang, one take, and it was over."

"Leliță Săftiță" is a Vlach song of the 19th century. It is part of the collection of songs Spitalul amorului sau Cântătorul dorului (1852) by Anton Pann, entitled "Cântec de mahala"
The song has a dialogical structure. It is about a married woman ( Fräulein Săftiță ) and her lover who secretly converse through the front door. The beloved cannot meet her lover because of the arrival of her husband and sends him away.

Since the song title chosen by Pann refers to "Mahala" (Romanian suburb), we can assume that it is an old song Lăutari .

The Jimi Hendrix Experience (often shortened to The Experience) was a band comprising guitarist/singer/songwriter Jimi Hendrix, bassist/backing vocalist/songwriter Noel Redding, and drummer/backing vocalist Mitch Mitchell. Formed in London, England in October 1966 by ex-Animals bassist Chas Chandler, The Experience were active for just under three years, a run which resulted in three successful studio albums and four top 10 singles. "Voodoo Chile" released as 7" single back in 1970 by TRACK RECORDS in UK. A monsterous Blues/Psychedelic Rock classic with great power and energy. ORKIDZ pays his respect to Jimi and transforms the original into a great energetic Bluesy Downtempo/Organic heaven!

About this edit
"Estrella Morente is undoubtedly my favourite flamenco singer. Last year, I had the pleasure to visit Andalusia for the first time and as I expected I was quickly fascinated by its beautiful landscapes, entrancing music and rich culture. I then decided to pay tribute through this Edit by the one and only Estrella.

The song demonizes superstition in the truest sense of the word 😂... I personally just like the message that you shouldn't look back or too much into the future... especially when you're rocking out at a party, then these moments are magical and somehow infinite. This and the catchy riffs and chords then tempted me to push the song a little bit towards the dance floor with a gently modified arrangement.

Today, June 24 is Saint-Jean-Baptiste day, a big celebration in the Canadian province of Quebec. It was brought to Canada by French settlers celebrating the traditional feast day of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. Jack Essek give an hommage to St-Jean with his electronic edit  of folkolore song " Le vent nous portera " by Les Charbonniers de L'Enfer.

About Les Charbonniers de L'Enfer
The group is part of a revival in interest in Quebec's folk music.[3][4][5] It was formed by five experienced singers who have been part of the regional folk music scene for more than 30 years: Michel Faubert, Normand Miron, Jean-Claude Mirandette, Michel Bordeleau, and André Marchand. Their instrumental accompaniment is limited to the jaw harp and foot tapping. The musicians also work in other projects and the band's appearances are relatively rare.
