The word Huriya (حورية) has multiple meanings, most commonly associated with "celestial being," "nymph," or "houri" (a beautiful woman of paradise). It can also be interpreted as "light" or "a vision of paradise". In some contexts, it is linked to the concept of freedom and liberation.
Celestial being/Nymph:
This is a common meaning, referencing a beautiful, ethereal being, often associated with paradise or the afterlife.
Houri:
In Islamic tradition, "houri" (also spelled "huri") refers to the beautiful virgins of paradise, promised to the righteous in the afterlife.
Freedom/Liberation:
The name can also carry the meaning of freedom and emancipation, particularly in the context of breaking away from societal norms.
Light:
Some interpretations also suggest Huriya means "light".

Dreams Within Dreams is built entirely from field recordings captured in churches, temples, and other places of ritual. The EP marks my first use of exclusively analog synthesisers for the drums and melodies, which process and respond to these recorded environments.

The work explores the acoustic properties of these intentional spaces, their reverbs, silences, and ambient textures. Each track layers these field recordings with analog synthesis, creating compositions that exist somewhere between documentation and interpretation.

Killatura is an imaginary travel linking the two Colombian ports, Barranquilla and Buenaventura, exploring the sounds of las gaitas and marimbas, bringing some memories of the territories by the samples of a documentary made about the Arrullos, tradidional chants from the Afro Pacifico region in Colombia and Ecuador. Cosmovision Records presents ¨Elements of These Lands¨ 

We started as a group of music producers in Montréal, immigrants from Latin America, Europe and friends from Canada, we wanted to reinterpret the elements of this land, from North America such as: nature, native cultures, artistic forms and others. This woke a great interest from artists from all over the world, thing that finally lead to our compilation ¨Element of These Lands¨, in plural, adding a big tribe of friends from all over the world which today are part of our artistic essence, a multi cultural collective.

Our proposal is to make music that evokes respect and consciousness about nature, which understand our cultural differences as a great value for us. We look to go beyond the act of pushing buttons to create digital music, on the other side, we want to inspire ourselves as a collective and invite to reflect about the elements of our land, elements that sometimes western culture forgets, but through art we can analyze, reinterpret and value.

Our first compilation has cultural influences from: Canada, Mexico, France, Chile, Turkey, Belgium, Colombia, Lebanon, Switzerland, Italy and Argentina. 
We want to thank all the producers evolved in this compilation and our artist Mathieu Bories, visual genius of our collective; also everyone who have believed in us and never forgetting you, the people who download and share these voices which are echoes from the land itself, that through artists sing to us to generate awareness of our roots and the elements of our land.
