A French DJ of Mauritanian descent based in Paris, Orphée has been mixing and, above all, collecting electronic music for the past eight years.
A fan of organic and mental techno, he mixes and layers tracks to guide his audience toward moments of collective euphoria. Faithful to the scene's legacy, he skillfully handles its codes with respect while reinterpreting them through the lens of new sonic languages.
His musical project, however, is far from monolithic. A connoisseur of electronic music in all its diversity, he seamlessly oscillates between styles and genres, always in service of the groove, the dancefloor, and
the dancers. He is also a passionate lover of the art of the opening set, an exercise he regularly hones with meticulous attention to detail.

After collaborating with Answer Code Request on Delsin early 2024, Amotik now strengthens the relationship with a first solo EP for the Amsterdam based label. Delsin is known for working the sweet spot in between emotive electronica and dancefloor functionality, and it feels like the perfect place for Amotik’s new EP ‘Raat’. Attentive listeners noticed that Marcel didn’t include any of his own tracks on this compilation, but we have some good news for his fans: Marcel made an exclusive track for Music Man. “Landscape” is nothing but a wonderful trip, as you will hear. On remix duties is Answer Code Request, a close friend of Marcel, who also appeared with a track on ‘Conducted’. A very special release to start 2012 with.
