From obtuse angles to intense physicality, Peder Mannerfelt’s highly individual take on techno demands attention and consideration. While his many-sided body of work reaches back more than a decade, the Swedish producer’s current investigations in the field of experimental dance music are as prolific as they are unpredictable.

To date he has recorded an accomplished series of albums as Roll The Dice alongside Malcolm Pardon, explored a more direct strain of techno as The Subliminal Kid and also lent his production skills to Fever Ray’s acclaimed debut album and 2017’s Plunge.

British DJ and producer Inland (Ed Davenport) has compiled and mixed ‘Stream State’, his biggest project to date, bringing together over 20 artists in a DJ-ready compilation of colourful, diverse modern techno on his label Counterchange.

Complete with a 90 minute continuous mix by Inland himself, the project celebrates over 15 years behind the decks and cements Davenport’s reputation not only as a tireless force in the studio, but as a trusted selector and curator of contemporary club music. Spanning deep idm-rooted studies, lush chord-driven euphoria, powerful modernist workouts and tough house-groove jackers, Davenport weaves an addictive mix full of character and his precision mixing style.

From veterans and heroes like DJ Skull, Efdemin, Joel Mull, Boddika, Peter Van Hoesen, and Mark Broom (alongside Discrete Circuit), to a new echelon of up-and-coming talent like Rhyw, Sophia Saze, Jamaica Suk, Johanna Knutsson, Aiken, DJ Sodeyama, Perm and Felix Fleer, there’s an underlying thread of shimmering production values and close attention to detail in every track. Inland also selected debuts from Berlin based artists Fred Mann and Arbitrage, and welcomes back BNJMN, P. Lopez and Distant Echoes to the label, now in its 7th year of operation.

‘Stream State’ is Inland’s celebration of the DJ mix / compilation format. Enamoured with UK dance music culture in the mid 90s, the burning, illicit energy of early rave mixtapes left a huge impression. Mystical bootlegs recorded at mass gatherings in fields or late night Radio One transmissions captured on cassette – their eternal spirit was absorbed and cherished. Now more than 2 decades later, Davenport has channeled that fascination into this weighty collector’s item and a captivating continuous mix.

All 22 tracks included are new and original productions made by some of Inland’s favourite artists and colleagues. A network and a community – complied and presented by an artist who continues to demonstrate his longevity and unique voice in the scene.

In 2020 Inland will play a series of ‘Stream State’ events hosting a selection of the artists involved at celebrated venues around the world. The first announced dates are to be held at IFZ in Leipzig, The Block in Tel Aviv, FOLD in London, ://about blank in Berlin, Nitsa in Barcelona, Vurt in Seoul, Gare in Porto and a pre-release event at Spacehall record store, Berlin.

We are very excited to present to you Duplicity 035, featuring an hour of powerfully hypnotic and driving techno from Buenos Aires based @juan_trujillo!

Juan Trujillo is a Venezuelan producer living in Buenos Aires Argentina. Juan began his musical career at an early age, studying stringed instruments round 1990. Audio technician, sound session drummer and Drum Tech. He has worked with numerous bands over the years, adding to his resume studio recordings, Tour manager and stage manager of international punk bands. His foray into electronic music started alongside his training in 1999 where he was quickly influenced by the European movement of the time, which was already steeped in punk and rock, like Dave the Drummer, Chris Liberator, Lawrie Immersion, Mauro Picotto, The Advent, Massimo Cominotto, Joy Kitikonti and The Geezer, to name a few.

He started producing electronic music in early 2002 where he dabbled in genres such as House, Deep House, Techno and Acid techno. Today his productions are largely influenced by the sounds of Detroit and Berlin-based techno and has released on a plethora of reputable and worldwide labels such as: 43 Recordings, Achromatiq, Elektra, Translucent, Take More Music, Monocline, Achromatiq, Connective records, Solid Groove Records, Dead Cert Records, FORMAT, Shadow music Recordings, Black Brook Records, 7Teen Records, Oxytech, Sub Woofer Records, Brachial Kontakt, Groovytech Records.

Today Juan runs his own techno label Simplecoding Recordings which is based on supporting local talents in Argentina where he has set base. Juan also runs Simplecoding Podcast which is a show of exclusive web radio techno Fnoob techno (UK) and writes reviews for the famous brand Deathtechno.com (UK)

Hate And Tenderness is a series of annual compilations that we have been working on for the last 3 years. In it we seek as always in ANAØH, to find the inspiration and concept for the project in the contrasts, daily contrasts, of nature, of the soul, of love, and as in this case daily life, the contrast  between the hatred that humanity It can manifest itself by   demonstrating the destructive and hurtful capacity that we have and everything that awakens in us the purest tenderness, such as the smile of a mother worth a million, a child playing with a cardboard box, an animal enjoying the freedom of its  natural habitat, looking into the eyes of our great love, a sunset in which the sky is painted pink and everything that makes us feel alive, regardless of the place or time .....
We have decided to release this third volume in a physical   collection format in a limited number of Cassettes and in digital format.

Being true to our contrasting philosophy, we have decided to invite young artists who are doing work of the highest quality and artists that we have always respected and grew up with. Each and every one of them was invited to join the project with all the love and respect and we have received nothing from them but love, good intentions and an enthusiastic group that has resulted in a wonderful musical work.
