Here's the first album by Counting Down Giants. 

A labor of love two years in the making, this studio project is the brainchild of Canadian songwriter Vincent Langlois. Written and produced during the strangest of times, collaborating virtually while city-hopping on three continents, the result is a personal and eclectic journey through the artist's favorite genres and inspirations.

Plucks out his eyebrows
Sprays on the tan
What a magnificent age
Worships the image 
He sees in the glass  
Barely suppressing his rage 

No alcohol no drugs no fun at all
He’s a master of self control
Asexual by choice not by design
Dysmorphic detoxified soul

Time for her latest release
The marks on her face
Are erased and replaced
But the scars in her mind still remain  

Papers the cracks as her world falls apart
Losing herself in the reel
Always somebody ahead of the game
Leaves such a hollow feel

I’m in solitary again
I don’t even know my crime
And this cage that’s holding me in
Is entirely my own design
Fundamental human need
Has brought me to my knees
Synapse fire in my brain
Save me from the pain

We can be alone together

Narcissistic tendencies

Alone Together

With a little time, and a little space
When you clear your mind.
It's amazing how things fall into place
That's what I find.
We lose ourselves in trivialities
Become preoccupied.
With these pointless banalities
Our hands are tied.

​And I try yes I try
But I can't escape the voice inside my mind
God knows I've tried so many times
It's the little things that kill
It's the little things that kill you in the end

Then you realise what's most important in your life.
Cut it back to basics
Try so hard to minimalise
But the more you search
It seems the less you're bound to find
Running round in circles
Getting lost and left behind

And I try yes I try
But I can't escape the voice inside my mind
God knows I've tried so many times

It's the little things that kill you in the end

Just a little more or a little less 
I can't decide
Am I turning left, am I turning right
Am I low or high?
All this overthinking drives me mad, 
I overanalyse.
Try my very best to simplify
This complicated life.

Well here we go again
A storm in a teacup
Friends become enemies
Enemies friends
And everywhere you turn
They’re all out to get you
It was all just a matter of time

Lesson learned
Now the wheel’s come off
And you’re burned

You say you’ve got the best intentions
I doubt that somehow
Wherever you go
And whatever you do

Of playing the victim
Of playing with fire
Without getting burned
With every passing day
