About the Cazenave Arty Facts:
 
Meet Etienne and Franck, two zany neighbors residing in an enigmatic district of Bordeaux, known for its eccentric and creative residents. 

Although the people may consider them a little crazy, they discovered their unique harmony through a shared passion for music and a record collection that would tempt any vinyl (and red wine) lovers.

Their chance meeting took place on the sidewalk of their two apartments, the two friends found themselves browsing the same section of Neil Young, Blue Oyster Cult, and the classic “Nuggets 60s Psychedelic Compilation”. It was the unmistakable appeal of these records, along with the whimsical aura of their neighborhood, that brought them together.

On Sunday afternoons, their modest lounges are transformed into sound sanctuaries. As they spin vinyl of classic rock and psychedelic treasures, the room is set up with two microphones on a drum set and an electric guitar amp.

The 3-minute and 38-second track "Not Givin' Up" takes them on a journey that sounds like Blue Oyster Cult meeting The Creations, Thee Oh Sees, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Pink Floyd on Saturn. Their synchronized head nods and swaying to the music create a surreal connection between them, hearing their 2 heartbeats under a total of 100 bpm.

However, the bond that unites Etienne and Franck goes beyond the classics. Their shared love of Primal Scream's Screamadelica record inspired them to create their own soundscape.

“Ain't So Easy” is their collaborative effort, blending elements of the '60s/70s/80s/90s into a painting of originality: The Who, The Cramps, Beck… It's a testament to their creativity and a break with the ordinary, like the street in which they live.

In a neighborhood known for its particular charm, Etienne and Franck embody the magic.

Through the power of music, they have forged an unbreakable bond that resonates throughout the neighborhood, where creativity knows no bounds, and where the notes of their melodies will likely linger with future tracks. Keep your eyes peeled then!

Ain't So Easy

Off The Diving Board is the latest single by Oranj Son. Produced by Chris Taylor at Kempson Street Studios, Liverpool. The Ellesmere Port band will release the song on Friday 16th February 2024.
