Bang Goes The Gun is an uptempo alt-pop gem which takes inspiration from Motown and the Northern Soul scene, updating the sonic palette to include synths, orchestra hits, and, as always, the dual male/female vocals of Chris McIntosh and Jen Davies. It's  the third and final single before the band’s debut album is released in May 2024 via the band's own Vinyl only record label, Defend Vinyl Records. Following on from Do The Right Thing (the previous BBC Radio 1 supported single)

A song about that friend who once was your rock, your sidekick. But as time moves, as do personalities. Friends which were once ‘thick as thieves’ have now drifted apart as the years have gone by. Narrated through the eyes and mind of someone who’s trying to let that person go, and move on with life.
