The band's story unfolds like a long-awaited crescendo. Having spent years perfecting the sounds of others from the shadows as a producer, audio engineer, songwriter, and session musician, Jacob Wing made the bold decision to step into the spotlight. With a burning desire to share his own compositions and virtuosic guitar performances, Wing assembled a group of like-minded musicians to form Wing & The Flight Risks.

Drawing inspiration from the giants of blues and beyond, including B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and John Mayer, the band's influences read like a roadmap of sonic exploration. From the depths of Albert King's soulful expressions to Buddy Guy's captivating energy, from the contemporary prowess of Christone "Kingfish" Ingram to the driving guitar riffs of the Foo Fighters, Wing & The Flight Risks seamlessly blend a myriad of influences into their own signature sound.

Their style is a tapestry of sonic elements. With a foundation of deep-rooted blues forming the bedrock upon which their music stands. It's the interplay of atmospheric guitars that sweeps listeners into uncharted territories. Jazz-influenced rhythm guitar adds layers of sophistication, while each melodic and soulful serenading guitar solo takes flight, weaving emotions that resonate long after the notes have faded into memory.

For years Anishinaabe DJ and producer Les Boulanger — aka Boogey the Beat — has toiled behind the scenes, laying the sonic foundations for other musicians’ anthems. As a longtime lover of hip-hop and rap, collaboration is his comfort zone. He’s worked with the likes of The Halluci Nation (formerly a Tribe Called Red) and Sebastian Gaskin, playing stages across Turtle Island.
