What is Remastering?
 
On several modern-day media releases such as CD's and DVD's you will have probably noticed the phrase 'digitally remastered'. Digital remastering is the process of taking the so-called 'master' copy of an old release such as a movie or music album and performing digital sound or visual enhancement processes in order to update it's quality and to refine clarity, thus making it better quality that it was when it was originally released... or an engineer may choose to use the original recording in order to produce a brand new master


That's my whole purpose....









Greetings everyone! Its been a while since there has been any update done to this SoundCloud page.  This due to the lack of time on my part and also that there are official online sites where you can get tracks legally and with reasonable quality.  Due to these reasons, unfortunately I will not be uploading any more songs and eventually I plan to shutdown this channel. I want to personally thank everyone of you for the support that you have provided all these years and I hope you had wonderful  time and experience listening to these tracks in highest quality possible. To highlight the hidden gems in Maestro Ilaiyaraaja's music by trying to provide it its purest form (in highest resolution and transparent form without any digital coloration or alteration) for maximum listening pleasure.

The initial goal was to surpass the quality of the original master sources. There is no way to measure this since no one has access to the original sources. The next phase in my goal will be achieve the following:

1. Be able to follow any instruments throughout the song (if its recorded) clearly. 2. Be able to effortlessly hear the layering in the song (like Vocals in the front row, instruments in the next row, percussions on the side and so on) if its recorded with that intent. The layering should reflect the way a particular song is recorded.
3. Be able to listen to any instrument in its original tone (timbre).
Trying achieve the above is not easy. It will take time and effort to get to that level.
