After midnight music. Room lights low, lamp humming, keys breathing. Piano and upright trade small truths while brushed drums keep the floor moving.

Everything here is space: ghosted snares, little cracks in the tape where the night gets in. It's reflective, gritty, mournful but still standing

After learning of the death of phenomenal UK producer and DJ Phil Asher (aka Phlash, aka Restless Soul) we dug through our archives to find this mix, sent to us probably on a CDR back in 2008. We published it along with our first feature interview with Phil Asher in September 2008. Here we remember Phil Asher doing what he did best: DJing.
