It feels a lot like lucid dreaming;
Can’t tell if i’m still sleeping or awake.
The trees that last for miles are alive and breathing,
Shaking in the wind that chills the air.

I know, I know it’s dark and cold
But don't let the fire burn out.
Just keep looking for the light.

I’m scared of ghosts and low in spirit,
I feel like i’ve been here a thousand days.
The fireflies cast the faintest glow,
But in the distance I can see bright white.
And that is where I need to be.

I know the way to better days.
I walk in circles, and never admit I’m lost.
I’m not afraid of my mistakes.
Hope without prospect, the only way I know.

I’m giving up on ever leaving,
I think i’ll call it quits and call this home.
The forest floor is comfortable and freezing,
Reminding me I’m perfectly alone.

A Light In The Trees

We are Crashes, from Inverclyde. Our sound is a blend of pop and rock - big riffs, surging rhythms and anthemic melodies. We combine pop sensibilities with emotional heft; angular, heavy breakdowns juxtapose with dreamy guitar lines to achieve a wide and unique result.

We take influence from a vast range of artists including Biffy Clyro, Thrice, Lower Than Atlantis, Bon Iver, Turnover and The Dangerous Summer.

Having recently recorded our new EP, ‘The Lightning Age’ with Bruce Rintoul (Vukovi, Fatherson, Twin Atlantic, Eliza and the Bear), we are eager to take our tight and professional live show to as many places as possible.
