Breakbeat Paradise Recording is back to kick off another year with a solid funk release from the Greek funk band Nasa Funk who has cooked up the midtempo funky anthem Try &amp; Buy. The catchy original funk jam comes with a diverse package of remixes from Dal Platinum, TowlieDJ and Crash Party who has all taken their personal twist on the track.
Nasa Funk who consists of Alexandros Spanidis: drums / Costas Chasiotis: bass / Alexandros Papoulidis: guitar / Charis Kapetanakis: saxophone, keys / Georges Perin: vocals, talkbox released the epic Gonna Work It back in 2020 and are now ready to follow up on the success with this new EP release. The original cut starts out with lead vocalist George Perin showcasing some growling vocals before switching into his well-known falsetto voice while being backed up by a catchy funky backing track by the Nasa Funk band. Try &amp; Buy keeps us on our toes and takes us though a range of sections including the a solid saxophone solo ending with a talkbox vocal.
For the remix duties we looked for producers that could put different twists on the original while staying true to the funk vibes. Dal Platinum has done just that on his remix which combines some ghetto funk glitch sounds and some funky beats, which goes perfect with Nasa Funk&rsquo;s backing track.TowlieDJ has taken the vocals and flipped it into a true drum &lsquo;n&rsquo; bass anthem by bringing up the tempo and putting on some catchy basslines. To end things off Crash Party takes things back to the bigbeat era with some classic sirens and acid synth lines.

This one shines bright and has got us going deep into a liquid Drum & Bass trance. Dephicits produced something soulful here with singer Lizzie Kirwan. 

This is the title track from his EP "White Lights" which is a proper adventure into liquid, minimal and some proper weighty rolling D&B. 

The full EP drops on 23rd March but for now let this one brighten your day.

Sonale has been on the BBP radar for a while with some big releases on labels like Big Fat Mama and Cuttin&rsquo; It Fine. Here he is with a fresh new 4-tracker to showcase his strictly-business method on glitchy funk jams.
Kicking off the EP with the catchy title tune Funkin&rsquo; Ya House which slams on a steady rocking breakbeat and a catchcy rap sample before bringing on the big basslines. That same winning combo is continued on the second track called No Satisfaction, which brings more in-your-face breakbeats and progressive funky basslines. Leaving you no chance to sit still on the 3rd jam called Shake Your Shoulders, which brings breakbeats with snares that cuts like razor blades and funky electric basslines. Not like it ever stopped but the final track on the EP is called Start Groovin&rsquo; and delivers more of that catchcy glitch funk and hard kicking breakbeats.
Sonale is one to look out for and with the Funkin&rsquo; Ya House release he is really making a splash in the scene.

With the epic funky debut EP from Sonale dropping earlier this year - we just had to invite him back for a second EP drop. Ill Vibes EP consists of 4 ultra funky badboy bangers of progressive funky breaks with lots og big basslines and smooth funky grooves.
Outside the catchy funk flows these bangers are providing a danceable 4-to-the-floor beat structure, while still staying true to the breaks and sticking in the sweet spot for midtempo bangers that the Ghetto Funk scene is firmly built on.
Perfect example of that is the title tune: Ill Vibe which kicks things off with a steady banging beat and some classic rap vocal cuts. Keep It Funky picks up the tempo and the party grooves with some fresh vibes and vocoder vocals. I Want You brings things back to the low-slung midtempo arrangements while keeping the funky grooves in the forefront before slamming on some heavy duty ghetto basslines. Finally You Got It Ruff finishes things off with a catchy well-known vocal and some more dope basslines.  Once again BBP on point to deliver you the funkies breaks on the planet&hellip;

Crash Party is back with the second EP from his debut album 'Everything Happens For A Reason'.

'Get Up (Lets Go)' samples classic Northern Soul, but kicks it up a gear with crafted beats and solid bass backbone making this a Big Beat groover of Fatboy Slim proportions. Dedicated to his son, Crash tells us that this was the first track that he wrote that got his son moving along to the music in his cot.

Backing this release are 3 unreleased tracks. 'Rockin' It' takes a little bit of New Wave and adds some bass-driven chunky House and Breaks action to taking the energy levels up a notch. 'C'Mon Everybody' is a a double bass workout with catchy vocals and music hooks. The EP is wrapped up with 'Make It Happen', written for the head nodders and toe tappers with vocal leads juxtaposed with scratching and a certain 'beat' that those that know, know!

Crash Party… DJ, Producer and Graphic Designer. He also runs his own label, Big Beat Sundays and regularly streams on Twitch with the Global Funk Fam, that he co-founded.

Crash’s production style is a mixture of cut-n-paste ethos and modern production values and has released music with Ghetto Funk, Scour Records, Cuttin’ It Fine, Big Beat Sundays and Breakbeat Paradise. Crash also featured on Dutty Moonshine Big Band’s album ‘City Of Sin’ and he also has writing and production credits for Aldo Vanucci including his recent hit ‘Impossible’. 

As a DJ, Crash, under various aliases, has DJed from New York to Ibiza and all over the UK, from Clubs to Pubs, Festivals to Special Events. Musically Crash combines Beats, Breaks, Funk, Bass music and more in his sets, drawing from new and classic music alike.
