Matias Ferdennaz aka Distant is a DJ/Producer from Cordoba, Argentina. In his last releases he has managed to be part of renowned labels such as Detriti Records, Khemia Records and Soil.

At the same time, Distant is the founder of TERRA FURIA, one of the most important projects in the country referred to techno music and alternative genres. 

His work has led him to perform in the most important clubs in the country and South America being part of line-ups with artists like as Dax J, 999999999, Fjaak, SPFDJ, Héctor Oaks, Randomer, SHDW & Obscure Shape, Reinier Zonneveld, Cassie Raptor, Estella Boersma, Setaoc Mass, Matrixxman, Inhalt Der Nacht, Kas:st, Rebekah, Klangkuenstler, Rikhter, Keith Carnal, Ryan James Ford, Tommy Four Seven, Shlømo, Pfirter, YYYY, Gotshell and more related artists.

I was born in 74 in Valencia (Spain).
My musical journey begins in the year 87 when through the radio I start to discover the wonderful musical decade of the 80's and the beginning of electronic music giving way to one of the essential sounds of today such as New beat, Acid house, Ebm, Electro. 
The end of the 80's and the beginning of electronic music were an influence for me. 
Kraftwerk - Afrika Bambaataa - Juan Atkins. 

Luis ‘El capitan america’ resident DJ of one of the most emblematic clubs of the city where the youngest people went to enjoy the music (Woody Disco) also contributed a lot to my evolution. 

My professional beginnings started in 1993 working in the record shop Alliance Records located in a central neighbourhood of the city of Valencia. Through the shop I started my first gigs on behalf of the shop playing in big clubs like Industrial in Granada and the mythical discotheque ACTV in Valencia, Tropico (San Antonio).
I have collaborated with several Valencian collectives promoting events offering a more electronic and different side.
Sushi Collective - Minimalistik Girl - Hypnotica Colectiva
at the beginning of 2000 I started to have my first residencies in Sala Roma (Puzol) through the Shushi collective (a clothing company).

I had my residency in other venues in my city where once a week I used to have my space. 

Pub TERRA, it was there where I met Jesus CTG member and founder of the collective Minimalistik girl and where we started to collaborate together and became part of his collective.

Through the collective I had a more professional opportunity to train where I have been able to perform in several festivals organized by the collective itself and performing in various venues in my city as they were.

Also in the middle of the 2000s I started to be part of the Valencian collective Hypnotica Colectiva (HC) founded by David Verguer and Jorge Moreno.
Performing for them in their anniversaries and standard festivals such as Revelation (techno alliance) - and Happy Mondays, a session in Valencian gulf time par excellence, the nights from Sunday to Monday, remembering how mythical and important were those Sunday night sessions in Valencia in the 90s. 
Through these collectives and other agencies I have had the opportunity to perform in big venues such as Chocolate, Barraca, Jungle (NOD), Puzzle, sharing the bill with artists such as 
Ellen Allien, Sascha Funke, Pacou, Dave Tarrida, Miki Craven, Claude Vonstroke, Monoblock, John Digweed, Aubrey, Yin elek, Sound Synthesis.

And national artists like:
