Having grown up in the 90’s, Chris Larsen pulls a heavy musical influence from his love for old school hip-hop. Today, this translates into his sound where he picks apart and infuses his ghetto, funk driven style, grounded by fat baselines and warped vocals to develop an aesthetic that is easily recognizable and one he can call his own. The result, you may ask? Music with fundamental properties of bass- thumpin’ and dance-floor bumpin’. At 5’9 tall with his signature faded head, lined up beard, hat brim cocked back he makes an imposing figure which is matched by his masterful control of any dance floor. 

Emerging from Toronto’s raw underground scene in 2008, Chris quickly became a staple in the scene’s most notable venues, namely Footwork, Guvernment and Comfort Zone. A constantly progressing and ever-eager student of his craft, Chris has a passion for the music he is playing and making. Chris has put out records on Green Velvet’s Cajual, Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars and South of Saturn, Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato’s Rawthentic, Shiba San’s Basement Leak and Riva Starr’s Snatch! and Brock Wild to name a few. Today, he continues to play at Toronto’s hot spots Electric Island, Coda,Vertigo and has headlined at home and abroad (US, South America, and Europe). More so, Chris has shared the decks with some of the most respected names in the industry and is consistently carving his signature imprint into dance-floors all over the world.
