Hello, hello, hello. This is Jeff Gilden and I'm here to teach you how to make a website. It's gonna be a very simple process. Usually if you make a website, it's really complicated. You have domains, you have posts, you have d n s, you have tons of settings, and today I'm gonna make it very, very simple. By the end of this video, you'll be able to have a website.

Up and live. All I want you to do, pull this video, shrink it, uh, put it somewhere to the side of a web browser and literally follow along with me, um, as we create a website together right now. So the first thing that I want you to do is click the link below this video. What that does, that'll take you to Bluehost.

I'm gonna give you the best price possible. Uh, currently, uh, it's 3 9 5 a month. Obviously there's an asterisk here. That's if you buy, uh, I think three years. Uh, but what you'll do is you'll click the link below this video, then you'll click Get Started now. You're only gonna need the lowest plan 'cause you're only planning to build one website.

Or if you plan to build more, you can go with the second package. Uh, plus is gonna be enough for pretty much anybody. Um, it's unlimited everything, so that's good there. The normal mom and pop, small person, uh, writer, bakery, plumber, whoever, uh, this starter package is gonna be enough for you. So click on that.

And for the purposes of this video, I'm going to use website set up demo.com. You'll put your new domain in here, so whatever you want your website to be named, you'll put it in there. If it's gonna be my bakery downtown.com, joe's crab shack.com, whatever it's gonna be, you'll put that right in here. Click on next.

And now it'll ask you for all your information. And luckily I have, uh, some information saved in here. Hopefully I can blur that out later. Um, what you're gonna do is come down here to package information. You'll see the 36. Month price is 3 9 5, uh, 12 month price is 5 95 a month. So you click on that, you can uncheck all these.

You don't need that. That's all fluff. And hopefully I can blur out this part as well. So I'm gonna, uh, pause this video real quick while I type this in to make sure I can blur that out. Okay, so after you've typed in your credit card information, you simply make sure this is checked and hit. Next. What that's gonna do is that is going to set up your entire website process all at once.

You don't have to worry about domains. Um, you don't need to upgrades. No upgrades. So we're gonna hit complete.

Congratulations. Um, this has been set up Now. Choose a password for your account. So we're gonna, you know, it gives you some information down here. Uh, we just click create password. I confirm that I've read and type a new password in here. Let's just, uh, make a random one.

Let's see here. This should be good, all right. Or you could use the password generator if, um, you don't meet all the qualifications of, of, uh, what they're trying, they may need an uppercase, lowercase, all that good stuff. So password generator works every time. Create.

All right, and then you will website set up demo.com, and you're going to type in your password. Submit now. This will log you into your hosting account here. You don't have to upgrade or do anything. Alright, so now it's gonna maybe give you some help. You can call, blah, blah, blah. Just hit close. All right, so now you're in your backend, and what you're gonna do is you're click on this button called cPanel.

cPanel is going to log you in to another area that's the control panel for your website. Okay? The one thing you wanna pay attention to is this website builder section right here. Um, there's also, uh, an email section where you can create email accounts for your domains. Uh, connect with Google Apps, all that sort of stuff's great.

For the purpose of this video, we're gonna install WordPress with one click install. So there are some paid options here.
