The delicate wind chimes dance. This delicate whispering of the wind opens the piece and immediately transports you to another world. Soon, drums join in, their rhythmic pounding sounding like the heartbeat of the Earth itself. Over this soundscape, a shamanic chant rises, mystical and powerful at the same time - as if an ancient wisdom is speaking to you through the voices of the ancestors.
Suddenly, an eagle breaks the silence with its cry, majestic and free, and with it, a prayer to the Guardians, who protect and guide us, begins. This prayer is deep and reverent, carried by soothing gong strokes that echo like gentle waves of serenity within you. The prayer ends, but the music carries you on, as if it wants to gently guide you through a landscape of sound and silence.
Finally, the melody returns to the delicate wind chimes and bells, sounding like sparkling stars in the night sky, and the piece ends in a feeling of peace and harmony.

MindWave House - November 6th

A crowdsource experiment. The instruments were voted for drums, bass, synth, pad, sfx/extra on Mastodon. The results were:

Roland CR-78 for drum machine
Roland JX3P (substituted at the last minute for the modern repro Roland JX03)
Roland D50 for synth
Solina String Ensemble for pads/strings
Yamaha PSS680 Musicstation for sfx

These were all used on the first track (Social Warmup). For this second track, I replaced the Solina String Ensemble and Yamaha PSS680 by a Behringer Edge and a Behringer RD-6 (TR606).

Roland CR78 programmed with a Boss FS5U, but otherwise song mixed and played live (along with arpegiator for the bassline). Various midi devices (merge, split, midi to sync) and a bunch of guitar pedals (like Boss SL20, Pigtronix Echolation, Red Panda Particle, Boss compressor, Walrus Audio Sloer, Alesis Nanoverb, Pigtronix Mothership 2 etc were also used, fed into a Boss BX16 mixer, onto 15ips 10" tape. No computer or DAW all the way to tape.

The first time we heard Jupiter Sunrise, by Kollektive Turmstrasse it immediately took us on a mellow trip. Only, the trip felt so short.. What if we rearranged the song so it had a longer tension buildup?, we thought. We took the idea with us to a residence in the Belgian Ardennes, surrounded with the first snow in early december 2024. Elo (ELOii LEONii) felt drawn to vocally improvise on it, as it also resonated with the time and place we were immersed in. 

Garbicz 2025: real magic happened when we played the track for the first time in the Juicy Bar, with a live vocal improvisation. Wow. This really needed to be shared to a bigger crowd, we knew. As then and there, we felt how the moment and the people in it changed into another universe. A moment where time became timeless and everybody became one in it. 

Here's it is. The edit, named: Kollektiv Jupiter!
