The small, round boy turns around and finds out that the saviors have been standing behind him for a short while.

E: "We are the saviors!"
E: "Oh and we've been searching everywhere for you..."
E: "Had quite a tough luck, but we've finally found you!"
B: "That voguish merchant has requested us to escort you back to his shop."
B: "So I suggest you to tag along with us!"
N: "And he seems pretty worried about you, you know."
?: "Really? That's a shame..."
?: "I thought I could solve this puzzle, but the problem is..."
?: "I have no idea what any of this means."
N: "..."
N: "Hey umm, maybe we can help you with it?"
B: "Noelle is right!"
B: "As you may see, all three of us here are masters at puzzle-solving!"
B: "Or at least... that's the kind of impression we give away considering how many we've successfully handled."
E: "For the very least, we can try to understand how to resolve this issue for you."
N: "Anyway, you must be Partiser Jr., correct?"
PJr: "That's right! And you can call me..."

PJr: "The baddest guy in the whole world!"

In this take, Lancer, as known as Partiser Jr, is one of the two people who swaps with Jevil. This is one of the several swaps that strays a lot from the tradition of how it's originally handled in deltarune. Partiser Jr. is based on a paper angle (styled after a devil). He's red and quite saturated in color. In the Light Realm, Partiser Jr. is the only paper angel that doesn't get discarded for how adorable and small it is compared to the abandoned, scary and big one, Partiser, who is somehow Jr's father. Why did someone make Partiser to begin with? Well, perhaps they just thought it'd be clever to subvert the format. And being a child, surely they are a very creative individual who knows what they desire. Unfortunately, this poor creation just never came to fruition as they're seen as "freak" and "creep" for crafting something out-of-the-ordinary. I mean, a paper "devil"? What's so bad about it. Not like it's gonna haunt you in your nightmare or actually summon a devil to curse your entire family, haha. It's just a form of creative art. So instead of making it look like "it's gonna attack you whenever they feel like it", they decided to make it more child-friendly while still keeping the "devil" concept. In the Shadow Realm, he lives with his "morerer" dad, Charpei. Charpei has taken quite a good care of him despite his occasional annoyance. Now Jr. has set off on his quest to find his long-lost father, but of course something has to get in his way.

RALSEI: "... we really do want to help you! We--"
NIKOLAS: "I know. He lost his crown. You want to help us find it."
NIKOLAS: "Your intentions have never been a mystery to me."

NIKOLAS: "You are in no place to get yourselves involved."
NIKOLAS: "You are not strong enough to stop what's coming."
SUSIE: "Do you know who you're talking to right now?"
SUSIE: "We KNOW we can help. At least let us prove ourselves."
NIKOLAS: "Oh? Let you prove yourselves? Alright."
NIKOLAS: "Then prove yourself."
NIKOLAS: "Prove that you know when to quit!"

[BATTLE START]

2. I've been studying the art of prediction before I even became Seer...
3. What I've seen... I know what it means. I've done all the research I can do.
4. It's a foolish act, to try to change fate. And yet... / ... No one aware could afford to let it happen.
5. The balance of LIGHT and DARK will cease to exist. / Not in favor of one or the other... but in CHAOS.
6. I saw THE TOWER... and the light atop it shone a terrible color...
7. We are closer than ever to our final hour, lightners...!
8. The crown we seek is no normal crown. It is a HEIRLOOM. / An object that gives its wearer the power they need to rule.
9. Someone wanted that power, and now they're getting it. / You created the opening they needed, all because you thought the Spade King had to go!
10. They have two of the four HEIRLOOMS. Just one can cause enough destruction in the wrong hands!
11. ... but all this talking, it's pointless, isn't it? I have to convince you through other means.
12. If you make it through this, then I'll be forced to make my last attack a brutal one...

NIKOLAS: "...Then it's done. Prepare yourself, Lighteners..."

[Clyde appears from the entrance.]

CLYDE: "Nikolas!!!"
NIKOLAS: "Clyde?! Get out of here!!"
CLYDE: "No!! Not until you stop fighting them!"
NIKOLAS: "This is our last chance, Clyde! I have to do something!"
NIKOLAS: "And if this is what it has to be... So be it!!!"

[Nikolas's final attack takes place. Before he can make the finishing move, Clyde stands in the way.]

CLYDE: "STOP!!!"
NIKOLAS: "... Clyde... Move over. I have to--"
CLYDE: "You said that trying to change fate was stupid!!"
CLYDE: "And I know you're NOT stupid! So why are you doing this?!"
CLYDE: "They aren't bad!!"
NIKOLAS: "..."
NIKOLAS: "... Alright."

[Nikolas stops. The battle ends.]

NIKOLAS: "I guess... Desperation got the best of me."
NIKOLAS: "Since I can't change the future..."
NIKOLAS: "I'll have to accept it."

[Nikolas throws the Lens into the forest below.]

NIKOLAS: "If they want their HEIRLOOMs... then they've got their third."
CLYDE: "..."
NIKOLAS: "Clyde."
NIKOLAS: "Why don't you show me your treehouse?"
CLYDE: "..."
CLYDE: "... Okay."

[They both walk out of the scene.]

RALSEI: "..."
SUSIE: "..."
RALSEI: "... Does anyone else feel..."
SUSIE: "Like we just made a huge mistake?"
* Ralsei nods reluctantly.
SUSIE: "... No. We're gonna fix this."
SUSIE: "That stuff he said about fate? We'll prove him wrong."
SUSIE: "We'll get that crown back, and we'll stop whatever is coming."
SUSIE: "It's not gonna happen. Not on OUR watch."
SUSIE: "Let's go, Kris."

SONG COMMENTARY: My good friend Brylee is making a classic underswap mod using some designs and tracks from other projects. I'm simply uploading the tracks I have created specifically for the project! (Can you tell I like underswap yet?) I'm not 100% sure if she intends on releasing this project to the public, so don't go around askin for it! its not even done!!!!!

Funnily enough, when discussing MEGALOVANIA in her mod, brylee directly pointed to some of @wicher500i 's UNDERSWAP Boss Rush tracks as a reference! She wanted the song to be specifically a song swap "ala wicher boss rush", So i tried to stay true to that!
