Through the Horizon

Born in the early nineties, young french dj/producer Mondowski has his musicality rooted far from club culture, he finds his stems in Creation’s back catalogue, MBV and The Jesus and Mary Chain, all of which stand out as his seminal references. Later turning to Death in Vegas, which he claims, opened him up to electronic and synth music. Dark was the turn. After the release of "Cry Wolf" and "Sans Soleil" on Relish Compilation IV in December 2015, the lad is back with two new original tracks to be released on Headman's RELISH once more. The EP is titled "Klub Psycho". Here premiered, cult Grenoble producer Michel Amato aka The Hacker takes over "Black Age" and reworks the original track into a sinister dark warehouse anthem ! Release date is set to 11 march

Falke - O.N.G. - LP - KANN 30 

The protagonist of this extended longplayer is the remarkable Falke. He is the unseen hermit of the clan and arrested the labels attention due the things he does best: sitting at home collecting cheap ancient technology and creating his own artistic universe, influenced by his distinct sense for the simplistic beauty in everyday life. After two records and several compilation contributions, we collected ten tracks to introduce his own extensive world properly. The music celebrates a timeless past that stares unbelieving into an expired future. 
Post-socialistic aesthetic detects 90s’ electronica to merge into a careless version of house.

Deemphasis is a french producer specializing in electro, acid and vocoder.
Originally from northern france, deemphasis was influenced in the late 80s by german, english, detroit and belgian techno sounds. in the 90s, he is very involved in the "demoscene" and uses "sound-tracker" to make music. Nowadays, he always uses the same approach.
it was at this time that he settled in clermont-ferrand, in the early 2000s, he began to do some concerts and he turned gradually to electro.

In 2010, deemphasis released its first 12 "ep" synthetic cells "on the umwelt label, newflesh records. Then, several ep and his famous album "mechanical beats" on ukonx recordings.

In this ep, deemphasis explores some of the feelings one can encounter in a post-apocalyptic world.
The opening title "my empire" is clearly oriented towards the dance floor and features a surviving robotic voice in a hostile environment.
An acid base consolidates the melancholy atmosphere.
The remix of "my empire" by the french producer "the observer" is a journey with some hypnotizing effects, deep experience and ongoing melodies take will take you to a different dimension, sounds rythmic, mysterious and variable... this remix are like a poetical description of some non-human race or nature of another dimension....

The b side begins with the track "obsession", presenting a long journey in the darkness. The mechanical rhythm sounds like a dehumanized factory fighting against continuous pressure.
The ep ends with a touch of hope, looking for a « rebirth », contemplating the galaxy full of stars.

Obsession

TL Premiere : Deemphasis - Obsession [Radio Mars]

It’s Belgium vs. Malta for the second split EP on Gated, with Datawave’s tough take on electro kicking off the A side and Sound Synthesis’s cosmic machine music on the B.

Both producers are currently making waves with numerous releases on labels like Fundamental and Nebulae, with their complementary yet distinct styles of electro brought together for the first time.

Perhaps the most obviously peaktime track, Datawave’s Pulsar sounds immense, with a wriggling bassline and cracking drums that’ll cut through on a system.

Breach Out takes things darker and deeper, with gnarly and hypnotic synths leading you on some tripped out journey into a dystopic future.

Sound Synthesis, meanwhile, lightens the mood with Lost in Orbit, but retains that sense of moving into the future. Except this time it’s somewhere beyond the stars.

That said, EP-closer MH System is the kind of classic 4am stomper every DJ needs, with a low-slung bassline and spaced-out samples guaranteed to keep the floor moving.
