Press Release:
Midnight Traffic returns to the fort to add another string to his bow with ‘Unseen Locations’. This 5-track excursion into the realms of deep & hypnotic techno was created during the lockdown with a focal point on open-air settings. The release consists of 3 originals with his signature sound and 2 interpretations by the eminent Italian producer, Biocym. 

The title track, ‘Unseen Locations, gets the EP going with smooth, continuously undulating grooves, psychedelic themes, and haunting vocal samples that invoke a feeling of remembrance of outdoor environments. ‘Moral Perception’ advances this inspection, cementing his Goa-trance influences in a techno context, where he induces cosmic sound design, elastic rhythms, and detailed percussions, coalesced with metallic effects, fluid motifs & euphoric moments. 

The tension continues to bubble with his signature shimmering pads that take on a new context with ‘Rhythm of Rest’. What started out as an exercise in the world of VCV, results in a track that has a driving aura, laced with effervescent drones & cutting-edge rhythmic mutations. Biocym, a familiar name in the Italian deep techno circuit, joins the ensemble of music with his take on ‘Unseen Locations’ - a stern tool for any dance floor where the primordial emotive vocals take a new shape, whilst keeping the original motif intact. His second interpretation is of ‘Moral Perception’, an immediate immersion into aquatic ambiances, with captivating broken beats, metallic chirps, and intriguing waves of elements that make for a deep and eerie take on the original. 

Shaped by personal experiences and feelings of an imminent dystopian future, ‘Unseen Locations’ is a fully-formed organic evolution of Midnight Traffic’s distinctive sound. Qilla Records is an underground collective established in 2011, with the ethos of championing forward-thinking music in India. Since its inception, it has evolved into a bookings agency and events crew, leading the charge in curating transformative experiences, including its own pop-up festival - Alchemy. A decade later and with 90 releases, Qilla now has a more specific focus on Indian artists, pushing sounds of the country to a global audience and vice-versa.

PREMIERE: Rainsoft - Eclipsed Time [Bié-015]

Sequencing through granular terrains, Dåggěr in Saccades harmoniously merges the throbbing ripples with the subterraneous pads. The recurring percussion forms a promising pact with heavy bass lines and a steady, stubborn beat which induces the track with an ideal, rejuvenating vibe. Holding on to constant loops by keeping up the pace and the tension peaks, those rhythmic patterns put us directly and wholly in a proper dancing mood. The more we plug in this conjunction of elements, the overall clean and breezing comfort wades through, letting us unconditionally enjoy this lively daze.

Monument Premieres a track "Saccades" from the upcoming EP "Veridian Glare", which will be released on Deflection Music, 7th of October.

For our fifth exhibition we wanted to merge a work by the master Leonardo da Vinci with 3 tracks by the promising Italian producer Biocym plus three splendid remixes by Polygonia, Unclear and Kontinum.

The Dama con l'ermellino is an oil painting on wood by Leonardo da Vinci, datable to 1488-1490. The woman portrayed is almost certainly identified with Cecilia Gallerani. Kept for years in the Czartoryski Museum in Krakow, from May 2012 to May 7, 2017 the painting was exhibited at the Wawel Castle, also in Krakow. On 19 May 2017 the work is temporarily moved to the National Museum in Krakow until 20 December 2019 and then returned to the Czartoryski Museum.
