My wife Jo and I met at work, having applied for the same job and as luck would have it, we were both offered positions in the personnel department.  I was instantly attracted to her and though there was an eight year difference in age, we seemed to have a true likeness of mind, the only problem being that the two of us were in long-term relationships.  Still, this didn’t mean we couldn’t be friends and we began to spend many a happy lunch hour together. 

However, the more I got to know her, the more it became readily apparent that my feelings were much more than mere friendship.  What made every working day worthwhile were those lunch hours we’d spend together.  I simply couldn’t stop thinking about her but given our circumstances, I kept these feelings bottled up for two long years.  Eventually though, I decided to gather my courage in both hands and tell her I loved her.  To be honest, I expected to get a negative response but all she said was “We need to talk”.

We talked and talked and talked and talked about every potential eventuality but nothing ever changed the fact that I really did love her.  Despite the fact that she’d never considered the possibility of us being together, it was such a relief when she told me she was very willing to totally change the course of her life.  Talk about your heart skipping a beat…

OK, so it didn’t prove easy but neither of us has ever regretted one single thing.  Thirty five years on, we are still very much in love and this song celebrates those wonderful lunchtime meetings, sharing more and more of our feelings, growing ever close through a friendship that became a bond as close as any couple could wish to have.  We hadn’t a clue where it would go and yet here we both are.  I still cannot stop loving her.

I owe a debt of thanks to Hans and Gal who pulled out all the stops to get this song ready for Jo’s 58th birthday.  Cheers boys! (Terry Reeves)

This song was born from a live demo on Jacktrip, where I was showcasing my typical composing workflow. The foundation started with a layered acoustic guitar collage using the Ample Guitar plugin, setting the stage for the opening vocal line to naturally emerge. As the track took shape, an unexpected but magical moment happened—Solaria’s vocal scat, a spontaneous addition, became a defining element of the song.

At its core, Changes reflects the personal and creative growth that occurs when we surrender to the unknown. The rhythmic interplay of the two acoustic guitars represents the duality of change—sometimes harmonious, sometimes conflicting, but always pushing forward. The vocal hooks, carefully woven into the arrangement, act as guideposts through the emotional landscape of the track, echoing the ebb and flow of transformation.

Solara’s vocal scat wasn’t planned—it simply happened in the moment. This unfiltered expression perfectly embodied the essence of Changes: the beauty of spontaneity and the surprises that come when we trust the creative process. In that sense, Changes is more than just a song; it’s a testament to the way music, much like life, evolves beyond our expectations.

The music video for Changes brings its themes to life with "concrete abstract" imagery—clouds drifting in the wind, forming fleeting pictures in the sky, only to disappear and make way for new ones. May he rest in peace. He was someone who radiated kindness and soul-level compassion where it felt like he was an angelic being. I always refer to him as an angel. I had a crush on him and I just found him to be attractive physically and emotionally. I feel like he watches over me, because sometimes he will come and visit me in my dreams, he is a guardian angel. 

Also, it's about sending out to the universe, that I want to manifest an ideal, romantic partner like him, who radiates kindness and soul-level compassion, who is both physically and emotionally attractive.

So excited to be releasing our latest original The Journey, with Dan van den Berg on guitar.  This one is extra special to me, not only because it again includes Dan's magical acoustic guitar playing on it, but also because a few weeks ago, while working on his parts for this tune, Dan decided to recreate the entire tune in a flamenco style using three guitar parts, and dedicated the music to me.  It was a huge surprise to me, and one that demonstrates the deep understanding Dan has for music,  his fondness for the passion of music and also for the friendship that we both share.  For our version here, Dan is once again performing on his gorgeous Joan Cashimira acoustic guitar. In the late 1940’s in the Fulham\Hammersmith area there used to be a club that would raise money for people with disabilities. The club itself would have various activities which a large number involved live music. The name itself was created by the local people who used the club as there main place of entertainment. When my mother in law told me all about it the club and its name I was sold. It seemed to suit me and my brother for so many reasons.
