After a 2018 debut for PHW Elements, Sebastian Sellares has made increasingly sizeable waves with his smooth and unique musical style. Already seeing his music signed to an array of high-profile imprints including onedotsixtwo, UV and Or Two Strangers, Proton Music's 'Zen State / Jinsei' was a further notable highlight in October 2020 including remixes from Matias Chilano and Bedrock's Nick Muir.

The title-track opener is a gloriously atmospheric offering that builds gently over a rhythmic foundation of rolling top-line groove and pounding beat. Filtered pads soon enter the fray followed by atmospheric birdsong effects and rippling arpeggiated synth line that resonate with the 'Dunes at Dawn' title. Rising to a spine-tingling zenith at the mid-point alongside deep, captivating bassline, the second half continues the rich melodic collage creating a sumptuous start to the EP.

Continuing the powerful rhythmic basis of the opener, 'The Stars Above' scintillates with its chugging rhythmic vibe and syncopated bassline pattern. Evolving through subtle percussive urgency, dreamlike pads float across the mid-range beside steam-powered white noise waves, before intricately programmed synth plucks complete the foundations. Before long, undulating arpeggios glitter in delayed patterns as counterpoint phrasing adds emotion and guile to create a contemplative offering.

'Nocturne' completes the musical triptych, revelling in a subtle melodic hypnotism that blends acid-tinged loops with flowing analogue motifs. Panning the stereo spectrum with plucked phrases, a magnificent combination of counterpoint melodies rise and fall across a nine-minute magnum opus that results in another string to Sellares' increasingly powerful bow.

Prolific underground progressive tastemaker K Loveski serves up the next lowbit release, with two excellent originals.

The first track 'House we have for you' meanders effortlessly through the gears with infectious stabs and vocals complementing the unquestionable groove of the bassline. Delayed, wandering riffs hypnotise and delight as the story unfolds and the perfectly programmed elements combine to create a truly unforgettable aural experience.

The second track 'A colour called L' hooks you in instantly with a mesmerising but subtle euphoria as the magical synths wrap around evolving textures and the deep, hypnotic bass parts. Angelic vocal snippets and ethereal effects draw the listener in further and all the parts fuse together effortlessly to lift you into another musical dimension.

He is in labels like Sudbeat, The Soundgarden and Replug among others. He is in charge of the “Rename It” remix by Francisco Castro released on our Apolo compilation last year. He offers us a pure progressive interpretation mixing new and fresh sounds. 

Be the Limit by Sinan Arsan is remixed by EMPHI, a young and talented artist. He brings us a spectacular version with his style and essence. The drop and breakdown turn it into a special track for the dancefloor.

Kabi (AR) debuted on Droid9 South America with a special remix for “The Other Side” by Aliens Like Us released in our compilation Afrodita last year. He did a very nice fusion between House groove and Progressive House melodies and harmony.

Irish long serving DJ and producer Chris Cargo, is a veteran of the underground scene, he started his production career in the late 90s, and has been at the forefront within the electronic music scene ever since. His music has graced Renaissance, Automatic Records, Whoop, Armada Music, Configurations Of Self and onedotsixtwo, amongst many more.

He delivers two originals here, booth oozing of confidence and quality, as you'd expect. Starting with Dawntreader, a hypnotic and deep workout, with subtle warmth looming, over its trippy soundsacpe, full of drive and dramatic flavours.

Next up its 'Distant Mellow, and as the title suggests, an understated sophistication locks you in to its spell, as the blippy melodic patterns merge and melt wonderfully, with a chunky and hazy wash of goodness.

Born on August 22 1985 in the town of Temperley, Buenos Aires province. His first steps in electronic music were from the year 98. Began to hear the famous radio Energy, which in its time was the most listened, fascinated by several programs, such as the vinyl, the beat, urban groove, etc. Influenced in the beginning by Dany Tenaglia, Deep Dish, etc.. Today influenced by Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Sasha ,etc. At its beginning their varied styles house, deep house, progressive.

Another great year with production to further expand their creativity.
