Sam Omen’s story kicks off in 2012 in Ibiza selling club tickets, soaking up sunsets, and falling headfirst into the pulse of dance music. What started as a working holiday became a lifelong pull toward sound, space, and sensory-rich dancefloor moments.

He cut his teeth DJing in dusty country towns before moving to Melbourne, carving out his sound in the city’s underground. After diving into production in 2015, he went deep—learning, unlearning, and finding his lane through process and persistence.

Sam co-founded 'Critical Feeling', a community-led label and rave movement built on connection, design, and feeling. His sound blends hypnotic Berlin-style techno with ambient texture and emotive club pressure—shaped by time spent at European festivals, in Berlin studios, and immersed in nature.

Outside the booth, he’s a light artist, nervous system coach, and the founder of 'Rising Rest'—a platform helping artists regulate, reset, and create from a state of nervous system balance. He also works behind the scenes at festivals and collaborates with Traditional Owners on cultural projects rooted in care and creative ethics.

At his core, Sam is a connector of sound, light, people, and place. His sets aren’t just for dancing. They’re for locking in and walking away with something.

It all started with one track while scrolling through the ether. Separated by time and space while forming an inescapable bond. Built upon a forward human vision of music and life itself. The two members of asunder Sam Owen & Jamieson Kingston are friends from the unlikeliest places. Both with intrinsic passions for production and DJing they form an exciting duo. Their productions will journey you through each stage of the night with influences of Dusky, Four Tet, Bicep, Daniel Avery and Floating Points. Their sound can be categorised as modern, hypnotic and reminiscent of a 90s rave.
