To close the end of the year, we invited our friend and rising star Coeus for the NWD Special! 

Serbian based Coeus is rapidly growing and is becoming one of the finest electronic music DJ/producers of the Balkans. His sound contains deep dark cavernous grooves with strong percussive rhythms and stirring melodies inspired by the environment and culture he grew up in. As part of the Afterlife family, he was recently invited to make his debut on the Afterlife line-up in a sold-out Printworks in London.

With his talent and understanding of electronic music, he receives massive support from artists like Tale of Us, Solomun, Adriatique, Mind Against and many more.. With his incredible productions, he achieved releases on various international labels like Afterlife, Atlant, Oddity, Vivrant and Multinotes.

Grammik’s (aka Aris Grammenos) involvement with electronic music started almost two decades ago. At 18 years old, Aris began spinning vinyl at local bars and clubs around his native Athens. His first release came out under his real name on No Border Recordings (2008) with numerous followup tracks on Sound Of Everything and Proton Limited.

In 2016 his first EP was released, under his current artist name “Grammik”, on Eyes Of The Owl Recordings with the title “New Tomorrow” , followed up by a remix on the same label. 

Grammik’s breakthrough came in 2020 when he joined the well-respected Steyoyoke Records family. “White Heart”, “Kalopsia”, “Vast Space”, and “Abroad” - his recent collaborative release together with Montreal’s Monarke – have all added to the techno-oriented, yet dreamy and melodic Steyoyoke sound.

He is well known for his built up dj sets that can begin from electronica and finish up to techno.

A path meanders steadily into the golden meadow...all possible futures lie ahead...

A long-time favourite in his native country, Gadi Mitrani has been representing the Turkish underground with esteem since he first burst onto the scene over 15 years ago. A unique and prodigious talent, Mitrani’s ceaseless love for all things electronic music has led to some of the scene’s most hallowed and celebrated dancefloors. A true visionary, he was one of the first to notice the potential of Turkey’s electronic music scene — and as such is deemed an influential figure to many of the country’s fledgling electronic music producers.

Famed for his signature deep, tech and prog-heavy sets, Mitrani is a DJ notable for his versatility and a man who’s more than able to chop it up with the best of them. In 2015 he debuted on Kompakt KX courtesy of ‘Key of Stillness’, a suitably momentous cut that introduced Mitrani to a whole new audience and duly elevated his status within the global electronic music process. Supported by well-known DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo and Powel, it’s a true gem in a discography that’s littered with highlights.

The last few years have been equally fruitful for Mitrani. Now a firm fixture in some of the globe’s best-known labels, he’s repped everyone from Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas, Lee Burridge & Hoj’s Tale & Tone to Maurice Aymard’s Galaktika over past while, with Hernan Cattaneo, Guy Mantzur, Khen, Gabriel Ananda and ‪Danny Howells‬ all regularly supporting his music in their sets. Production duties aside, Mitrani has also shared the stage with the likes of Guy J, &Me, Michael Mayer, Guy Mantzur, Patrice Baumel, Rampa and Jeremy Olander. Aside from appearing alongside the latter list, he’s also rocked stages recently in Ibiza as well as at Off Sonar and Burning Man: proof if needed that this is a man currently on a fierce upward trajectory.
