Schleiermacherstrasse is part of Stiff Little Spinners Vol. 6 (Audiolith).

Stiff Little Spinners enters it’s 6th volume with a 5 track package spanning the widest sonic spectrum imaginable. Its tracks, in typical Spinners fashion, range from r&b influenced house grooves to shimmering, broken-beat, new-age garage swing. Gimmix & Zorro prove their penchant for urban slow jams with a dance floor flavour. Their opener Oveile builds in a slow, sleazy fashion, eventually trading its more unpredictable drum arrangement for a sturdy 4/4 rhythm. The melody surges harmoniously, navigating the walls of its club-ready time signature, a phenomenal introduction to a mind-blowing collection of tracks.   Rampue slows things down on the A2 with Schleiermacherstrasse; a tripped-out, hazy roller with enough chime to hypnotise an entire stadium. This is not to say Volume 6 contains big room tracks, but rather the music’s power commands attention. This is certainly true for Kalipo’s Mäusemarsch, which whirls, in mesmerizing fashion achieving a climax fit for the party at its peak.   Krink’s Close Distance is perhaps the darkest sounding track offered by the Spinners - it seriousness and condensed energy is bound to leave audiences sweating, until its ferocious bassline gives way to soaring synths and jarred drums.   Joney changes the formula altogether - his sophisticated K-Hole Surfers offers a chugging, dubbed out roller which owes as much to techno as it does to dubstep. It is perhaps unsurprising from the track’s title that one feels like they are riding a rather erratic wave, delving in and out of our universe.   Already on their 6th volume, and churning out high-quality, club-ready tracks, this collective is set for big things.

STIFF LITTLE SPINNERS:
Spending a night listening to the same music over and over again most-likely isn’t a source of joy. To prevent this particular scenario the group of DJs and producers of the Audiolith cosmos decided to delve into new musical realms. Thus the project “Stiff Little Spinners” was born, uniting the diversity of Techno and House, to create a sampler which shall display this certain diversity.
The sampler’s prelude, a soft song named “Pendelverkehr Ab Ostkreuz”, is contributed by Rampue and shines a completely new light on him. Soulful vocals and an almost dreamy sound – just the right thing to continue where one hasn’t really left off at night.
Rampue is followed by Kalipo, the new solo project by Frittenbude’s producer Jakob Häglsperger. With his song “Time Will Tell” he creates a diversified, propelling piece of music, which never happens to get boring - instead constantly maintaining its thrills.
The third track originates from Mendoza, who delivers the sampler’s peak experience for those very special moments at a club with his hybrid of Garage and House, “Hugo”.
The whole compilation is rounded off by Krinks’ “Better Than That” and Gimmix’ “Fenja” – two atmospheric tracks with beautiful background vocals, which convey the feeling to simply close one’s eyes and float away from one’s daily hustle.
But that’s not all there is to it – in the end the Stiff Little Spinners still remain hungry and thirst for more. Thus it is to be expected that Audiolith will present quite some more releases and events under the banner of Stiff Little Spinners.

Jonas Rathsman announces his latest offering with cutting-edge innovators Crosstown Rebels. ‘Complex’ featuring Josef Salvat is released on 10th June 2016.

This is a tech-blues odyssey, an introverts primal scream, where complex emotions and urges are vented and perfectly complemented by Rathsman’s explorations into the dark corners of electronic music. Enjoy the journey. With the release only in the hands of a select few tastemaker DJs, ‘Complex’ has been making waves at the recent Miami Winter Music Conference, “receiving hands in the air welcomes and even a sit down ovation” according to label boss Damian Lazarus. ‘Complex’ is set to be the first underground anthem of 2016. 

The release comes with two carefully chosen remixes. First up is Swiss techno stalwart Deetron, who steers the song into percussive acid oblivion while Serge Devant offers up his deep house expertise for a dramatic and driving offbeat cut. 

With his instantly recognisable sound, Jonas has found praise the world over for his keen ear and transcendent sets, which have captivated listeners on both the international club and festival scenes.

Following his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Rathsman continues to showcase his technical capabilities and impressive track selection with his bi-monthly mix series ‘ELEMENTS’, now on its fourth instalment.

Spiramentum (latin for "breath of life") is a therapeutic force, which expresses itself as a tidal movement that is very slow and constant. Remixed by Rauschhaus - a Kiel based DJ and producer - Spiramentum develops in an impulsive and thrilling direction, which is a new incarnation of the tracks original version. Rauschhaus released tracks on Parquet Recordings, Einmusika Recordings and Tube & Bergers Kittball.

Vitalis stands for classical instruments with matching electronic beats. It means invigorating and life-giving. Born and raised in the shadow of passing time Unlayr - the creature of not quite elegant but surely effective - rediscovered and newly interpreted a noble and sincere manifestation of the tracks material culture.

The sun caresses the mountains with the breath of life and people prepare to welcome the new day full of life and hope.

Kicking that EP off is ‘Karl-Löwe-St. Groove (ft. Biroll)’, a track that opens with melancholy piano before erupting in a blaze of searing disco samples packed to the rafters with funk and groove. It’s one for peak-time dancefloor destruction.

Jonny Cruz and Cali Lanauze are kicking off their new label, Opulence, with a fantastic Various Artists compilation featuring plenty of talented artists. Some are new to the game, some are more established, but they all help paint a fine picture of what to expect from the label going forwards, and that is deep and atmospheric house and techno. 

Jonny Cruz himself has been producing, DJing and providing vocals to great tracks and labels like Cocoon, Touch Of Class, Poker Flat and Vakant for years now. He appears here with a track alongside the label partner Cali Lanauze. They have collaborated before on My Favourite Robot and often curate parties together in Puerto Rico, so it is no suprise that the curation for their track 'Equanimity' is right on point. 

Atelier Francesco kicks things off with The Moon’s Landing, a deep and atmospheric cut with spacey sounds making for a nice intro. From there the likes of Javier Carballo offer deep techno, Sierra Sam goes all cosmic and tripped out and Vosper get busy on their dubby techno roller Womb.

Some nice vocal laced old school breakbeats from Cesare vs Disorder carry us on and then the likes of the legendary Guido Schneider links with Daniel Drier to great effect. The label bosses Equanimity then gets freaky with some spacey vibes and great synth work, where the latter half touches on more pumping beats from Pablo Mateo, smooth and serene rollers from Alexi Delano & Mark Ashken, rubbery supple grooves from Lee Jones. 

This is a fine compilation that sets off this new label in fantastic fashion.

Following two monumental releases on Crosstown Rebels, Serge Devant is back onboard the label to deliver one of his best to date. The immensely sensual Thinking Of You sees him team up once again with Damiano and Camille Safiya with invigorating remixes from heavy-weights Reboot and Art Department.

Serge Devant has been turning heads since the seminal Fearing Love feat. Camille Safiya dropped in 2015 on Emerald City, picking up the Best Music Video award at the 2016 Hollywood Independent Reel Film Festival. Jonny has seen almost unparalleled success in the world of dance music and continues to be at the forefront of the industry with a huge focus on his record labels and his in-demand label showcases that take the name of his vinyl only label, Social Experiment.

Frankfurt’s Reboot brings his flavour to the release with intricate percussion and deep underlying pads. Growing up in Sven Vath’s Omen Club, the talented musician now spearheads the ‘new sound of Frankfurt’ and has released on a wealth of labels like Circus, Moon Harbour, Cadenza and Get Physical.
