Vocals, bass, drums and Guitar were recorded live at the same time

Something Going On

Since forming in 2009, Crow Black Chicken have earned back-pats aplenty for their dirty southern blues sound. This power trio of Christy O Hanlon (Vocals, Guitar), Stephen McGrath (Bass) and Gev Barrett (Drums, Backing vocals) combine elements of folk,hard rock and the blues of bands like Gov't Mule to create their greasy no bullshit blues rock sound. 
 
CBC gained their first big break by winning the All Ireland battle for Glastonbury in 2011 thanks to their EP "Organic" and their raw live show. Upon the release of debut album "Electric Soup" in 2012, the trio from Ireland's deep south have won the adoration of many playing major festivals and countless venues across Ireland. 2013 saw the band return to Glastonbury and travel to Texas to record with country blues legend Ray Wylie Hubbard. 

This was the biggest year yet for CBC with their sophomore album "Rumble Shake " reaching #12 in the Irish charts as well as the subsequent rumble shake tour stopping off in Holland, Germany, Austria and Italy as well as a comprehensive All Ireland tour. The band also had a 4 page feature in Classic Rock Blues magazine with their track "Rumble Shake" on the cover mount CD
