Egal ob eingemummelt in Deutschland oder sonnend auf den Canaren - lasst euch von @mi0m zum Dancen motivieren! mi0m is a techno and bassmusic enthusiast from Southern Germany. They have always been an electronic music lover with their roots going back to 90s uk rave culture as well as early 2000 trip hop. Their style goes beyond genre boundaries and always looks out for complex sounds to expand the listener’s horizon. Co-founder of the ESKAPADE bass-music club night, a club series dedicated to empowering marginalised genders.

@mathilde-nvl (Mondame) will answer with a great selection of leftfield/ambient and electro. 

@proximaultra (proxy_404) will prepare experimental breaks with turkish influences, russian lyrics & juicy riddims to treat your ears ~

And last but not least:  @sleeptwitch will end the showcase with her recent favorite breakbeat sounds: expect drums & rhythms on a deeper level and a splash of melancholia.

Getting behind the decks is an act of empowerment. Both in the message it carries and in the people who convey it. This is what @steiner0 stands for with her energetic, cathartic music, in which she offers an escape from the violence of everyday life. A fervent activist, she cannot imagine any music that is not political. Simply because declaring oneself "apolitical" already constitutes a political position, often associated with privileges. Steiner knows and feels every day that she evolves in an environment still largely dominated by people assigned male at birth, white, able-bodied, thin and heterosexual. Although the environment is changing, there is still a lot of progress to be made. And to fight this battle, you need strength. That's the motto she had when recording this mix that will make you want to smash everything, or at least capitalism and patriarchy.

Before finally stepping behind the decks herself in 2020, @dj_boney_s already looked back on two decades of club culture experience. Passionately collecting vinyl from various different genres for years, she started out as a party organiser in her native Belgium. Her behind the scenes work continued after relocating to Germany where she was heavily involved in establishing the PARALLEL nights at Griessmühle as a fixture of Berlin nightlife. 

As a former booker and label head, DJ BONEY S developed her own unique taste that is first and foremost shaped by one timeless medium: VINYL. She draws from classic 90s sounds and queer techno, travelling to otherworldly electro or cold industrial beats. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes pouncing - but always trippy - her set invite you to close your eyes. 

DJ BONEY S is resident of @slime_berlin and Sousami Bar, @femalepressure member and publishes the @prallberlin podcast series. She is also one half of @dj-frottee and of @hhhhypnotist, both together with @zikade.

We are very happy to present you this absolute gem of a mix.
