Through his appreciation for both modern electronic soundscapes and the timeless sounds of our musical heritage, he tells a story that unites listeners in a profound and powerful experience.

The term “hugr,” from ancient Nordic belief, describes the mind as a traveling force. “Hugr” is considered the part of our souls which can move outside the body during states of trance or ecstasy. Nordic shamans use this to visit other worlds or dimensions for the purpose of obtaining insights, healing, guidance, and to communicate with the spirit world. These spiritual journeys begin through rituals of drumming, dance, and singing that induce a trance-like state where “hugr” can be released from the physical body.
