The stars shine far more potently here than back on earth. To think that an ancient tablet buried in Babylon led you here, to these stranger suns! 
Your orange hazmat suit crackles with each laboured step on this jagged alien world. The science team wave you over and gesture towards a towering black monolith on a grey horizon - the signal came from there? As you approach the titanic structure a low-frequency hum, emanating from somewhere within its chrysalic surface, grows stronger. The cold electric blue of your HUD dances madly, glitching, and the survey equipment beeps furiously. Contact.

Deep Space Signals

Ugasanie's cold drones meets Dronny Darko's meticulous sound design on this dark and brooding arctic album. 

Two weeks you've been scouring the arctic sea. No sun since you reached the north, the dark water a constant fractured mirror that meets the universe above and pulls you into its black fold. Everything points to "it" resting beneath the ice, in a slumber of centuries. 

Three weeks, now on land, you're getting close. Down here beneath the ice you feel disconnected from the world, like you are leaving the present as you spelunk into the past. You snap another glow stick and throw it down the ice shaft, the light strobes off crystalline walls as it reveals an ancient structure below. The Arctic Gates. 

For lovers of cold atmospheres and a feeling of isolation.

Finally, we see Robert C. Kozletsky return with a dreary and guitar driven follow up to 2016's Stone Speak. Against Civilization is where Robert takes a different sonic path. Vastly different from past releases, but still wrapped in the solemn sound Apocryphos is known for.

Civilization is a curse. Your head hangs heavy in the windowpane as you gaze upon the dregs of society. It soon collapses and nature turns feral. Those desperate to cling to their hollow idols fall silent, eyes sunken. They are not there. They have abandoned us. They are against civilization...

Features stark and captivating artwork by Erik Osvald and a 12 page booklet with extended artwork and text emphasizing the turmoil within the music. Close friend and fellow collaborator Pär Bostrom (Kammarheit, Cities Last Broadcast, Hymnambulae) makes an appearance on two tracks.

It has been ten years since the last communications were received from the Deep Space Mission for Colonial Expansion led by Executive Director Professor Yannis Tarknassus. The outcome of the mission remains a mystery, its status unknown. A follow up mission of search and recovery is now underway, led by Dr Phoenix Macrae, son of the Chief Science Officer of the previous mission, Dr Hector Macrae.

Interplanetary chronicles the search and recovery mission as it travels through space to its intended destination of Proxima Centauri b in the Alpha Centauri star system.

Deep space travel requires extreme technologies and the specialised deployment of unique scientific principles in order to secure time-bending relative motions though the spacetime continuum. The effects of this on the human cerebrum, as experienced by the space flight crews and their passengers, are both strange and compelling. As part of the scientific remit of the search and recovery mission, a team of scientists are conducting ground-breaking telekinetic thought-rendering experiments, using Phoenix Macrae as their principal subject matter, in an attempt to catalogue the collateral impact of deep space travel on the human psyche.

Interplanetary also documents several radical spacetime shifts where the phantasmagoria of Ruptured World is infiltrated by the explosive cyberpunk energy fusions of In Quantum.
