Friday Island is back with its penultimate release of the year from cross-border prog duo Pete B & Rianu Keevs, featuring stunning remixes from Dowden and Andrés Moris. Pete and Rianu have been smashing it this year with high-charting releases on Prognosis, Critical Elements and JourneyDeep, and this release is bang on the sound we’re trying to push here at Friday Island.

First up is the original mix of ‘Unfamiliar Place’, a deep, dark and moody 4am heads-down vibe inspired by labels like Zero Tolerance and Plattenbank, combining growling bass, eerie pads and ominous vocals to devastating effect.

Next up is a remix from rising star and production genius Dowden who delivers an absolute monster of a tune, departing from his usual deep and melodic vibe with a darker mood that stays faithful to the original but adds raw, gritty bass, heavy percussion and an edgy detuned synth that absolutely slaps.

Finally, Argentinean prog producer Andrés Moris offers his interpretation – a driving, techy track that maintains the eerie, dark mood but takes us more into sci-fi territory with an aggressive robo bass and groovy drums guaranteed to lift the energy on any dancefloor.

Friday Island is a new progressive house label inspired by the magic of the early 2000s but with an eye firmly on pushing the future of the sound. Friday Island’s mission is to make music for dark sweaty rooms and those cosmic 3am dancefloor moments when you forget where you are.

Purgatory is an instrumental album taking heavy influence from Dante Alighieri's 14th-century epic poem the Divine Comedy. This album is the direct sequel to the album 'Nine Circles'.
The track names refer to terraces and areas as they appear in the second part of the Divine Comedy often referred to as ‘Purgatorio’.

Using dark heavy synths, and satanic electronic sounds; Purgatory is designed to stir up your concepts of sin and question what may constitute vice and virtue.

Spanish trio Knightbots debuted on JST a few months back with their single 'The Hound', a very well received Indie Dance track which combined Synthwave/Retrowave aesthetics with a hard edged French Electro sound. Now, 'The Hound' returns once more with a remixes EP and French artists M.A.D.E.S, Volkor X, Perhopes and Alminia have been tasked with adding their own twist to the original. From M.A.D.E.S' atmospheric Synthwave to Volkor X's heavier Darksynth and from Perhopes' dirty Electro to Alminia's groovy Indie Dance remixes, 'The Hound Remixed' covers all spectrums of the Indie Dnace/Nu Disco sound, with the four artists delivering an EP that is all bite and no bark.

After a couple of remixes and self released EPs, Argentina's Donbor joins JST with his new EP 'Forget'.

Three new original Synthwave tracks with the characteristic Donbor sound and trademark deep, somewhat melancholic Cyberpunk tone he introduced with his classics 'Smoke' and 'Against The Law'. Melodic yet dark, Donbor continues to stand out for his well balanced writing, seamlessly blending elements of dark melodic Synthwave with Electronica and creating an unmistakable atmosphere with his signature style and sound.
