CS Nielsen is a songwriter, singer and guitar player born on Samsø Island in 1977.

He has toured extensively in Denmark and abroad, and with his two earlier albums, ‘Man of the Fall’ (2012) and ‘Against the Dying of the Light’ (2007), he has established himself as a strong ambassador of Americana songwriting. CS Nielsen is a true storyteller. His songs combine pathos and humor and the lyrics tend to struggle with timeless, existential themes such as distress, responsibility, doubt, faith, hope, love and death. The music is simple with strong melodies rooted in the ancient traditions of folk, country and blues. The centuries resonate in CS Nielsen’s songs.

His third album ´Jericho Road´ has been created in collaboration with veteran producer Kim Hyttel (Link Wray, Sort Sol, C.V. Jørgensen, Kim Larsen, Olesen-Olesen) adding more complexity and tension to the production, which suits the songs very well.
