The first Ctrl podcast of 2020 is here and for the second time in the series we are back in the steel city of Sheffield courtesy of mpbk as he provides us with his seamless rendition of melodic Techno

Hailing from South Yorkshire, James Maplebeck (mpbk) is no stranger to the scene. The former Ministry of Sound Brand Manager made his name as resident & curator of one of Sheffield’s most forward thinking club nights ‘Cargo’, which ran in the city for over 7 years. Cargo attracted some of biggest names in electronic music such as Sasha, Kerri Chandler, Dj Sneak, Slam & Deetron, closing its doors for the final time in 2013 with Axel Bowman.

Fast forward to 2020, James now heads up his new project ‘sequence’, a global bi-weekly podcast, showcasing the best in deep melodic house & techno.  2020 will also see ‘sequence’ brought to the dance floor with a series of events - bringing together some of the most exciting artists in the world
