This remix of The Last Hero started off with some air drumming whilst I was listening to the original SID at work (this happens all the time when a tune inspires me). I got the basic groove down and thought: "I must get this tune remixed!" I don't play other instruments that well and please don't ask me to mix and master your next album, but I'm fortunate to have talented friends who dedicated their time to make this remix to what it is. It was a pleasure working with everyone and for me, this cooperation is a true testament to how wonderful the C64 scene is and also the friendships that come along with it.

The Last Hero by Wallstrom & Friends

A short soundtrack to our annual new year's production. First attempt at dubstep of any kind as well as using Ableton Live for composing. Took a bit longer than I expected due to Ableton Live being a bit different from what I'm used to.

tAAt 2014

My first tune ever with STEREO SIDs aka 2x 8580 with filters and all + added HALL reverb to mix the output of the two chips.

The raw tune is 3+3 channels aka pure stereo, but I composed the tune with a Logitech G35 headset with surround/reverb enabled so they got mixed. That's the sound I have tried to emulate in my mix here, so you can gain the same experience with a normal Dolby Headset

Stuck In 1994

My entry to the oldschool music competition at Assembly 2007.

I wanted to create a tribute to Jochen Hippel a.k.a. Mad Max and his style from the early 90's as I simply love his works from demos like Life's a Bitch, Dark Side Of The Spoon and Ooh Crikey Wot a Scorcher. That's why I only used digi-drums and plain YM sounds without any other timer effects.
