Part of Amsterdam's new fresh faced school of techno and already affiliated with Rush Hour, Dekmantel, Tape Records, Voyage Direct – it's Interstellar Funk. His latest undertaking and his first on the Rush Hour label, Electric Park Square, brings six tracks of mystical machine sounds that revel in their sensibility. It's essentially computer music with a soul. "Cable 54" opens the EP with a retrospective take on early Detroit techno. Interstellar Funk crafts squelchy, acid-inflected patterns on the 303 and mysterious synth melodies on a track that could blend in virtually unnoticed on one of Cybotron's first releases from the early eighties.

A new group strut their way down the Bordello boardwalk. The chameleon outfit of Yellocat, emblazoned with colour, arrive with Dans La Boutique and are true to their debut 12” title. A deep wardrobe of styles has been raided for this four track EP. First comes the latin funk of “Mi Hermano”, a lust laden duet of sweet chords and dancefloor desires, before the lounge romance of “Tout À Moi.” Language is played with, Spanish shimmies into French before English takes over the flip. “Rivals of Mars” is brash interplanetary battle. Synthlines glisten against vocoder lyrics in an epic struggle between our world and theirs. The pop-scented warmth of “Chasing the Light” leads the 12” out, a ballad of late night excess amidst the glass and steel of the city.

The original version was created by Nick & myself, Autumn 2017, using various Roland, Dave Smith, Doepfer hardware, plus additional live percussion.

Cassini Division is Kyle Martin’s solo project. His previous remix on forg002 still sounds timeless, so we asked him to remix forg004. Kyle agreed and delivered a monster of a spacious hypnotic slow techno re-imagination!.

Kyle took all of the different elements & put each of them through his modular system & homemade modular fx, he then merged them with some other tones and percussive sounds that he created on his Macbeth synth, re-pitching the sounds to lower the frequencies & then adding various spring reverb
fx to create the spacious immersive atmosphere. The end result is a total trip... turn up loud, close your eyes....repeat!.

Johannes Albert and his "Wing House" gets refreshed by Lorsch boy Shan who delivers bubbling disco synths with his breaky beat work.

Giegling & KANN affiliate Map.ache or better - just Mapi - is next in line turning "Cell“ into an epic, cinematic House groover. Using the original ambient vibe and adding his personal touch, the Leipzig Urgestein shows off in fine, subtle elegance.

Wilde Renate's Sebastian Voigt more on the techno side of things. His breakbeat remix of "Milieu“ features the vocals of photographer Gundula Eldowy Schulze. He ends up at 130 BPM in a frantic yet warm insanity.
