Stonelands travels through various modes of Bliss, from bursts of euphoria and abandon on the more energetic pieces to the stillness and tranquility of others. A great deal of the record weaves through steady, repetitive motions and insistent vocalizations that all feel meditative, regardless of whether they are backdropped by a wall of enveloping sound or a wall of enveloping silence. Rather than trying to impress with sonic curves out of left field, Stonelands bucks the culture that its architect came from and asks you to sit and hold yourself in an introspective embrace. To listen for yourself in the sameness and silence, and to listen for your own voice — the one that reminds you of who you are, of what hopes and dreams you have, and of the inner child who is beckoning you to fill with light. All of these moments when you allow yourself to feel it are like affirmations, as if the music is saying, 'You know I love you, right?'"
