Our belief at Cueca Recordings is that music should have a theme, a concept, a soul. Every release on Cueca Recordings will have its own unique identity from the music to the artwork, to the track names. We will deliver a full creative package that will give each EP an original place among the thousands of digital releases today. Incredible care and attention to detail will be taken with every aspect of the release. We will work with professional mastering engineers and creative artists to develop a special package which showcases both leading producers and some of our closest musical peers.
Cueca Recordings was born from the overseas partnership between Jonathan David from Canada & Matt McLarrie from Scotland. They connected through a shared love for tribal ethnic house music and organic grooves. Unlike many other online collaborations this duo comes together and create in real time online where both their styles, passion and emotion mesh together to produce tracks that are special and unique to them. This resulted in releasing music on hugely respected labels such as Elrow, Younan Music, Material Series, King Street Sounds, Madtech, KMS Records, Witty Tunes, Xima, Monique Special, My Little Dog & Mile End. Their sound together is a connection of deep tribal rhythms, pulsating atmospheric FX and an overall world sound. This close connection at a musical level has grown into a strong brotherly bond and ultimately led to the creation of Cueca Recordings. Their experience working together as Label Manager and A&R of Younan Music means your releases will be in safe experienced hands from the start. Jonathan’s roots in Chile, their love for ethnic cultures and a thirst for making people dance resulted in the name Cueca Recordings.
Demo Policy -
We will listen to every demo sent to us but please take the time to send your music with care and attention to detail. High quality downloadable streaming links will be the only format we accept and a small paragraph about who you are and what you’re all about. We are very creative people here at Cueca and we expect potential artists to be creative enough to present themselves in a professional manner in order to be taken seriously. We will accept any style of House music as long as it has a strong musical theme or a groove that makes us dance! NO EDM! Don’t worry if you are a completely new producer we will judge on the music only. We look forward to hearing from you and will always reply when we can with respect and constructive feedback. As you are about to read, I have not paid for a professional bio and I am not going to talk about myself in the third person. I am a beard shaker from Glasgow, Scotland where I produce deep, chunky, jazzy, tribal, spiritual vibrations. I am either in control of the music or strutting about the dance floor like a confused flamingo mixed with a nervous spring onion. You may need good quality drugs to enjoy my music - poor quality drugs may also work.

My vibrations have found their way onto some of the most respected underground labels in the world – Elrow Music, KMS Records, Nite Grooves (King Street Sounds), Great Stuff (VA), Material Series, Simma Black, Madtech (MTDL), Toolroom (Ibiza VA), iRecords, InHouse, Flashmob, Younan Music and more. I also co-own record label Cueca Recordings with Jonathan David (CAN).

My track "Jazz Kneecaps" reached #1 in the Traxsource Deep House charts in 2018 and I was in the top 100 best selling deep house producers on Traxsource in 2018, 2019 & 2020. I have officially remixed Wally Lopez, Darren Emerson (Underworld), Kevin Yost, Iban Montoro & Jazzman Wax, Saeed Younan & Charles Ramirez. 

My music has also been remixed by heavy hitters Joeski, Demuir, Ellroy and Hauswerks. I now have 4 vinyl releases with 2 on Material Series alongside Danny Serrano, Raffa FL, and Eskuche & Nu Sky. My mum turned one of them into a cake stand and another one into a clock. Probably make more money selling them that way.
