Founded in early 1998, the goal was to consistently put out records that would be loved and played by many in the house music community. Viva Recordings found success with its first debut from Johnny Fiasco and the with Rick Preston's Altruism EP, which gained notoriety when "Spring Fling" was featured on Mark Farina's San Francisco Sessions Vol.1. From these early releases the road was paved for Viva Recordings' success. Over the last few years we have been working on personal projects but now have decided to bring the label back and take the Viva name back. Emily Song is a seasoned DJ who embarked on her musical journey in 1997.  She initially found her groove by spinning vinyl at underground warehouse parties across the Pacific Northwest. As her talent and popularity grew, she transitioned to performing at club venues, where she teamed up with two other female DJs to form the trio known as the Vixens Of Vinyl.  The Vixens quickly gained a reputation for their electrifying 3x6 and tag team sets, and were also known for their long running residency at Aristocrats.  After nearly a decade of thriving as a DJ, Emily made the tough decision to shift her focus to her family and pursue a teaching career. Despite her hiatus from the stage, her passion for music never waned. After almost two decades away, she recently made a triumphant return with an all vinyl set, and since then hasn't looked back.  Emily now holds a residency with Viva Recordings, a long running house label in Seattle.  Her carefully curated soulful house music is heavily influenced by jazz, disco, funk, soul, and R&B, and she has also been known to sprinkle her sets with some afro house and UK garage.

Cuillere, a prominent figure in the house music industry, has built a successful career as a producer and DJ. His journey began in the early nineties when he started DJing at various raves. Through skill and dedication, he gained a strong following and secured club residencies across the United States. In 1999, he collaborated with Jolby to form the renowned crew known as the “Jack Junkies,” further solidifying his influence in the industry.

Cuillere’s passion for house music production led him to form an alliance with Busy and Crux. Their debut single was released on DJ Sneak’s esteemed label, ‘Oomph.’ Building on this success, Cuillere and his cohorts, now known as ‘Busy N Spoon,’ went on to release tracks on prominent labels like Lingo and Photo Records. Transitioning to a solo career, Cuillere released a series of compelling EPs and remixes that captivated audiences and drew attention from record labels such as Moulton, House Music Salad, No Fuss, LNJ, Pluralistic, Simplistic, Panhandle, and several others.
