Praxis is a record label dedicated to experimental hardcore and radical breaks and other forms of challenging electronic music and noise. Founded in 1992 by Christoph Fringeli in London, Praxis is now based in Berlin, where we also run the Praxis online shop and distribution.
We also publish Datacide - the magazine for noise & politics in print and online.

Manchester born and Berlin-based Producer and Sound Designer Neven aka Nadine Raihani makes twisted musical concoctions for the likes of Peaches and Perera Elsewhere amongst others. As a lecturer in the field of Sound Synthesis, she teaches Sound Design and Sampling at various Universities. Her own music as well as her remixes for Robot Koch takes the listener on a rollercoaster ride of pleasure and paradox as she turns vocals and melodies into beautifully sleazy, sexy and slickly executed journeys into bass-driven debauchery. As a DJ Neven blends heavy bass genres with Hip Hop, RnB and hybrid, experimental Electronic sounds.

An absolute freestyle music lover in random cadenzas: bass player, drunk singer, party animal, freak researcher, abstract painter and unsigned  freestyle DJ. 
Former member of Downbeat band Cine Mad in Chaos from São Paulo, played bass across the universe and festivals as Universo Paralello & Skol Beats in Brazil and mixed crazy tunes in lost queer bars around Berlin, where she lives and love since 2007.
Currently back for good to Rock and Roll: bass player of all-girl feminist quartet Gegenüber and Post-Punk trio The Shyshit Sessions.

Darkmatter Soundsystem was born in early 2001 by a collective of like minded individuals who wanted to fill a void in the Los Angeles underground. We wanted nothing to do with the restrictive overpriced nature of clubs or commercial raves, but most importantly we wanted to showcase music that currently fit no where in the L.A underground. Our collective mission was to showcase extreme electronics and splintered beats in an independent autonomous zone. 

As time progressed, we became connected with others with the same mission internationally as well as locally. This network has allowed us to share ideas as well as present music that for the most part would not be heard. We are now a part of this much larger network where we seek to support each other as well as continuing to promote more experimental sounds in Los Angeles!
